NP Fuel at ************************************ new Providence on May 1, 2024, The station attendant put gas in my diesel F350 and completely destroyed the motor and every part of the truck the fuel travels to! I was forced to pay to have my truck towed to a local garage and now it is being held in an impound lot! The owner Refuses to answer my calls Or take any responsibility for his employees actions! I am not sure if his employee is being paid on the books and legally working at his station! Looks to me like the owner also is holding the charge and trying to not charge me for the gas in hopes that he wont have to pay for the damages to my vehicle! Unfortunately, there is a police report and their employees admitted on camera. They put gasoline in my diesel vehicle and destroyed my truck.Business response

Thank you for informing us of this complaint and we hope to reach a speedy resolution for everyone.
The customer did visit our fueling station on 5/1/24. Per the report from our attendant, he was driving very erratically, having entered through a labeled Exit Only and driving the wrong direction in a one-way traffic area. As it is a high traffic area for both vehicles and foot this can be very dangerous and reckless behavior.
The customer asked for a fill of regular and, as our employees are trained, the attendant repeated the order back for confirmation. He then followed up a second time asking if he wanted regular, which the customer confirmed. This was all witnessed by the Supervisor on shift, who was nearby, to be corroborated. Further, as is regulated, the vehicle did not have a green diesel gas cap or diesel only label. This lack of notification or signage would not lead an attendant to make assumptions on the customers behalf.
As to the customers reference of there being a police report that is correct as we had to call the police due to his threatening behavior. We also cannot speak to why his car has been impounded per his complaint as we have had no further interaction with the customer or his vehicle and this would have nothing to do with our business. If he has refused to pay for services provided at another garage, they would hold his car under garage keepers lien until settled.
Regarding the claim that the credit charge is being held, this is not something we as a station are able to do and not something to our knowledge that our credit card merchant has taken upon themselves. As far as we are aware the transaction processed through normal means unless the customer has raised a complaint with his credit supplier.
Per our attendant and supervisor,we made any and all good faith attempts to validate his purchase in advance to which he confirmed. The responsibility to place a proper fuel order or have proper diesel markings on his vehicle is solely under his responsibility.
Regards,
