I am an English teacher for Bloomfield Public Schools and I went to AAMCO Transmissions on *********************************************************** to get a new transmission. The owner assured me it was better to fix my 2011 Chystler 200, then buy a new car. ****** told me, " It will be like a brand new car when we are done." It took one week for the work to be completed and they called me almost everyday to report on the progress. The transmission lasted THREE WEEKS! I had the car towed there on 10-11-2022. For the rest of October they have not updated me on ANY PROGRESS! ****** only called me once in the all the weeks they had my car to tell me it's going to be an additional $1200 for a leak in the coolent container and then, to this day, November 2, 2022, I never heard from him again. He is avoiding speaking to me and he puts the office manager *** on to tell me they had received a faulty one and they are waiting because they have a warrenty from another company who they say, can't seem to locate one. *** was completly blindsided when I mentioned the leak in the coolent container for $1200, he had NO IDEA WHAT I WAS TALKING ABOUT! The only reason I chose AAMCO was because of the warrenty but, they are dragging their feet because they already have my $6000, so, of course my car, is no longer a priority of theirs! The owner won't even talk to me and I missed so much work thay my career is a mess! I have been very kind and patient with them because I don't want to make them angry and make it worse. I feel like my back is to the wall and I'm on the verge of a nervous breakdown! Please help me!
