On 7/20/2024 I called for a refrigerator repair, phone number ************ in which I was notified someone can come to my house in a few hours. Several hours later the repair man called me from phone number ************. He came to house, stated the refrigerator heater needed to be replaced and he needed to order the part. Total repair job was $350, he wanted 50% deposit and he would return once part came in to complete job. He and I both did not have change, so I paid $200 and he provided me with an invoice via text. He has not come back after providing several timeframes and doesn't show up. He is now not responding to text messages. He presented with a white ******* Maryland license plate # *******. He's a total scammer and needs to be stopped. I want my $200 refunded.Initial Complaint

My dishwasher was leaking, Americo guy came and said the pump was leaking and I needed a new pump for $550, he let it run a bit and then left. It leaked later on in the wash cycle. I called him right back and said he would come the next day, he did not. Each day for the next 4 days he said the same thing, eventually Friday night he hung up on me, never came back, never answered the phone again, never texted back. So he stole $550 from me because my dishwasher is in the exact same state as when we got here.Initial Complaint

On July 28th, I contacted this appliance repair service after the phone number, **************, came up on my phone. I needed a repair on my washing machine. The washer was leaking internally from the top of the machine. The guy came that day, was here for about 2 minutes, and told me I needed a new water pump. He said he didnt have one with him but would come back the next day and install it. I paid him $99.99 for the visit, and $240 the following day for the water pump. As soon as I tried to use the washer, it wouldnt spin. This was not a problem prior to him touching the machine. I called him to come and fix it, and it was very difficult to get him to come back, but eventually he did. This time after he left, the washer was leaking onto the floor so I had to shut the water off. I attempted to run it x 2, and each time it began leaking again.At this point, I no longer wanted him to touch the machine since both times he did, he created an additional problem that I didnt have before. I called and texted him and told him I wanted a refund. At first he refused, then said via text that he would give me a refund, then texted that he would give me half of my money back. I did not hear from him so I called him and he told me the owner would call me to discuss it. This never happened. In the meantime, I had a legitimate repair man come from ****** who advised me that the original problem could not possibly have been the water pump since the machine was leaking from the top at that point, and the water pump is at the bottom. In addition, he failed to put back on the machine a very tiny seal, which I now had replace and pay for a new part. This cost me, with labor costs $350. So, altogether his dishonesty and ineptness has cost me $690. I want at minimum, to recover the money that I paid to him, which is $340. Please call him at **************. The website appears bogus, as well as the phone number on the site. I dont think he will reply by mail.Initial Complaint

I called Americo Applience Repair to fix a refrigerator, ********************@*** came applied a gas to it for 10 minutes he said to wait 24 hours but the refrigerator still didnt work so I called him and he took a long time to come back but he did and fixed it. I also had a dryer to get fixed and he took the dryer apart and said that he needed to order a part to fix it and asked me to give him cash to buy the part which I did. After that I texted and called him for a whole month and he wouldnt text me back or pick up the phone, when he did he would say hold on someone else is calling me and hang up. I finally got him to agree to fix the dryer a month later and he made an appointment with me which he never showed up, Now I dont have the money and the dryer is in pieces. He is very rude and doesnt have any respect for his customers. People like him should not have a business.Initial Complaint

On july 19 2023 i called americo appliance to repair my fridge it was not getting cold. They came out and looke and the fridge and first told me the evaporator fan was no good. I told him i tested the fan and it was working fine. He checked it again and said i was right the fan works. He then told me the defrost sensor was not working. It was going to cost $289 to fix. I agreed to the repair. I paid him $300 cash. He gave me the receipt via text message which is still marked awaiting payment. He told me the sensor was the only problem and the fridge would be good in 24 hr. I called him the next day and told him the fridge was still not fixed. He said give it another 24 hr and call him. So i did and my wife called him. He hung up on 3 times. I called him and it went straight to voice-mail. I left a message and he never returned my phone call. Its been 5 days and my fridge is still not fixed. Terrible business man. I also tested the old defrost sensor with a multi meter and there is nothing wrong with it.
