In March of 2023 I was in the process of purchasing a house located on **************************************************************. Before I agreed to purchase it I wanted the property surveyed due to inaccurate land calculation through any online aerial maps. Legal documents showed the land to be at 9acr and aerial map reflected only 5.3acr. Seller wasnt aware of this issue as he purchased the property from bank foreclosure. Seller was able to locate Princeton Junction Engineering company who surveyed the property back in **** through township records. ****** contacted the business and spoke with ************************* an employee of the business. ******* agreed to survey the property for $1800 with a lead time of 2 weeks. The cost of the survey was split by the seller and I. At closing I received a survey charge of $2150 not $1800 when I contacted ******* regarding the mistake he informed no mistake was made and the price increase was due to extra man hours due to a fallen tree and being ower grown. I agreed to pay the increased price in order no to delay closing that was agreed upon by all parties. On 06/23 ******* sent me an email informing that I had an unpaid balance of $2500 that was due. I replied and informed him that there must be a mistake and that he was ****** paid extra at closing 04/28/23. ******* stated that the property was overgrown with fallen tree and it took time to set markers. I informed ******* that he never informed me of any additional cost or given me an estimate. I agreed to pay $1800 but paid $2150 now the business is sending me additional bill of $2500 plus interest with threats of taking me to court. I informed ******* that our transaction ended at closing and that at this point receiving a new unpaid bill thats more than original survey charge is simply a scam. (I can provide all the emails between myself the seller and *******). Entire process was done through email and the only price that was agreed on was $1800 no contact was ever made or signedBusiness response
