I was charged $10 for a late fee for my Safe Deposit Box yearly Fee in March of this year 2022. I Never received an email, text, call or bill in the mail reminding me of the yearly payment due. When I questioned it with the branch manager I was harshly denied it to be waived and he had an attitude that he did not care. I wrote two (2) letters to the President of the ***** Mr. ************** He ignored both and DID NOT respond........ I want my $10 late fee refunded to me.Initial Complaint

Our savings account has money in it however our checking is negative. The bank now made aware that my wife is a cancer patient has locked us out of our savings funds and caused my wife to not be able to get her medication. She is sicker now and we have no access to our funds deposited today.Business response

***************************** and ********************************* have a checking account that was consistently overdrawn. Our Branch Manager repeatedly reached out to the customer by phone to discuss making a deposit to bring the account to a positive balance with no reply. The Branch Manager then sent a certified letter on June 7th to advise the customer the account will be closed in 30 days and to please contact us, but we received no reply. Our branch staff handled this process according to our procedures. The money in the checking account was not held but moved from Marquita's individual savings account to the joint checking to offset the overdrawn balance. The branch was not notified that his wife unfortunately was ill until ******** came into the branch on Saturday, June 18. ******** understood that her account was going to be closed and was fine with the decision. We reached out to ****** after receiving your letter and he has not returned our call. We feel that this situation was handled in accordance to our Bank policies and procedures.
