      In 2021 my father passed away; at the time my family was renting a home. When my father passed away, we of course lost his income contribution to the home... Upon advising my landlord of this issue they proposed us the plan to either buy the home or vacate the premises. In attempt to keep my family together my mother and myself attempted to purchase the home, yet our credit was not up to par. I was referred to Square One to repair our credit in a 4-month plan. We were asked to pay a total of $4000.00 in which we had to **** valuable jewelry to obtain the funds requested. Amongst that time frame the representative I was paired with had very little to no follow up, they only conversated amongst my initiation. Here we are 3 years later still in the same credit situation, evicted from our home as well as a garnish placed on my wages. I attempted to reach the company that holds the garnishment they won't speak to me directly, only to Square one which gets me nowhere. I would like my $4000.00 back and release of my POA from them.

      We signed on ******* and her mother ********* for a 90 day program in March 2022.
      Upon enrollment in our program ******* had 5 negative accounts in collection totaling $28,430.00 and her mother had 6 negative accounts in collection totaling $20,779.00.
      We verified these accounts were their responsibility and obtained settlement offers on all of the negative accounts within the 90 day program. 
      ******* and ********* were unable to pay these debts back. We extended the program free of charge and continued to work with them on their file and repayment options that would work with their budget until December 2022 (6 months past the contracted agreement). ******* and ********* never took advantage of the settlement offers and the monthly repayment options presented to them and as a result still owe this past due debt and since then have had wage garnishments placed against them. ********* even contacted us a few months regarding her wage garnishment she was aware of and asked us to call to find out how much longer she had payment on this which we did and told her that duration as well as her other option to pay off in full.  Both women were aware of the consequences by not paying back their past due debt.

      In April 2021 I was contacted by *** from Square one credit to help me with an issue I had. The referral came from my mortgage rep. I had filed bankruptcy 11 years ago. I reaffirmed the mortgage in the bankruptcy, however the mortgage was sold in the middle of the process and the lawyer didn't catch it. In the final closing of the bankruptcy the mortgage was not reaffirmed. Fast forward, I'm trying to refinance my house and the underwriting department would not approve it because my mortgage, although current and paid to date is not being reported on my credit reports. This is where *** and ***** from Square one come in. My credit is good, all I needed was my mortgage to be reported on my credit. The one sole reason I paid $1100.00 up front to have this resolved. *** assured me this would be no problem as its what they specialize in. He said I'm passing you off to my Top agent, *****. ***** calls me to ask for a credit card number to set up and pay for an account to pull my credit report. If credit is what they do cant they "pull" reports themselves? They said its a 90 day process and it will be taken care of. after multiple calls and emails over months i was assured to be patient. In September ***** calls me and says she finally got a hold of my mortgage company and they told her legally they cannot report my mortgage. She followed with sorry we cant help you its a legal issue. They should have known that from day one instead of taking my money. I told them up front the one thing I needed done in this process. I asked for a refund as no services were provided. They said no. Side note, no contract was ever signed. They just took my debit card over the phone.

      TAs previously discussed Square One did in fact provide all services as outlined in our Service Agreement and we should be paid appropriately for our services. The information we uncovered showed that your particular situation is based on a lack of proper filing by your bankruptcy attorney. This makes this a legal matter. Therefore there will not be a refund for the work that we performed.

      We performed all the work as promised. **************** was not satisfied with the outcome. We do not guarantee outcomes. He did not feel we should be paid for the hours we worked on his case. We have non-refundable retainer fees therefore will not be refunding ****************. He is aware of this policy. It is a shame that we were unable to work to his satisfaction. This case is closed in our office.

      Paid for debt consolidation in Jan-Feb. I was told it was a 90 day time frame. Did not get any final results by June. Called and was told that the person working my case closed it before it was finished and was no longer working there. Was promised that it would be fast tracked with utmost priority. Was told it would be done in about a week because I was trying to buy a car and needed it done. Well, will not done and was told last week that they would be in touch with me by 8/3. Of course nothing. While waiting for them to negotiate, had an account go into judgment, one that I was told to not pay when I had a settlement offer because S.O. would get a better deal.
