I contracted with New Jersey Asphalt Paving Company, managed by ***********************, to remove concrete and lay Asphalt for my driveway. It was supposed to be 3 inches in thickness, however there are areas where it could be as little as 1.5 inches. Price was $4,600 of which I paid in cash. No vehicles parked on the driveway for 5 straight days. After 5 days, we parked and immediately noticed depressions/gouges and later cracks in several areas. I contacted ***********************, he said he will take care it. I waited 6 weeks, never heard from him. Then I called and texted numerous times, he said his father-in-law was ""sick"" and may ""die"". I didn't believe his excuse, however I gave him the benefit of doubt, and waited a week, I called again and texted, again no replies, after several days, he again texted back saying his father-in-law was sick. I then asked if he could send his employees to take care of the problem. After several days of trying to reach, he must have gotten t-annoyed with me and lied saying he will send a crew to take care of the problem...I took the day off from work, no one showed up. He did this intentionally and maliciously lied. Now he's not answering at all. I told him, I am not giving up, I will pursue this case till the end including taking it to court, but ************************* doesn't seem to care at all, doesn't seem worried this can hurt his business.Initial Complaint

I contracted with *****(Owner) ************** from ** Driveway to lay Asphalt for my driveway. He was suppose to have put down 2.5 inches of Asphalt per the agreed to contract , but only put down less than 2 inches. Price was $4,500 of which I paid with a check and has been cashed. He also did not properly pave the driveway, so I get a mini lake in the middle of my driveway every time it rains. There is also a visible line down the center of the asphalt driveway, that he said would go away and it never did. The entrance to my driveway has a hump and causes all the cars entering to hit in the front, was not properly graded to the street. I've tried calling him repeatedly and he claimed he would come and fix the issues and continues to ignore me months later.
