Consumers have reached out to BBB with reports that TEK PC Solutions is charging $99-$1000 for remote computer support, but not resolving the alleged issues. The business only provides refunds after consumers contact BBB.
On June 28, 2017, BBB contacted TEK PC Solutions to address a possible pattern of complaints.
The company responded and explained that it implemented a robust audit mechanism for all the inbound and outbound transaction with its customers. They are issuing Corrective Action Plans under their compliance policy for every defect lying in the policy. They are processing refunds upon request for the dissatisfied customers. They implemented major changes in their CRM, implemented a separate CS Department, introduced Heat Check process, increased QA staff, and made changes in their SEM Campaigns.
However, the business failed to address BBB’s main concern of remotely connecting to users’ computers/devices and charging to allegedly clean viruses and malware, when none actually exist.
BBB continues to monitor incoming complaints, which indicate the pattern continues.
