I sold the property at *************************************************************************** on 12/26/2016 and Lawn Doctor continues to contact my phone number ** schedule lawn services. They have an active account with an unknown person for this property but are using my cell number which is illegal. My cell number is ************. I have called them and emailed them on this and it continues to happen. They have not updated the phone on the account with the actual person requesting services for this property.

We discovered that ***************** phone number was entered into a secondary screen that wasn't evident to the customer service rep cancelling the account. It has been fixed and will not happen again in the future. I emailed ***************** to notify her and apologize for the confusion.

I had used Lawn Doctor last year, and felt that they focused on **************, where people would see there displayed sign. I decided not to use there services this year, and was surprised when I received a **** . They said the contract continues year to year. I said, I am under no obligation to open mail that us sent out to me, from them. I almost view it as Junk mail. They said it states in what they sent me, that the contract would continue from last year, unless I opt out. I feel that this is a deceptive practice. I paid for all of my services last year in full, and since this is a seasonal business, I do not recall anything about a continuous contract. Even ************** send out a new contract for me to sign. Thank you for your time, and I will look forward to hearing from you.

The last thing we would ever want to do is work for someone that doesn't want it. **************** did not sign a contract to initiate service in 2021 as ********** does not require contacts for lawn service. Our continuous service message is printed on every service bulletin that was left at the house, on every email that is sent the day before an application and all other correspondence coming from our office. A copy of the 2022 service schedule was mailed through the **** on January 9th 2022. Emails and phone calls were sent on 2/24/2022 and 3/22/2022 reminding customers that were still in our service schedule and if they need to cancel or change service they needed to contact us. Finally an email was sent 4/4/2022, stating that the property would be serviced the following day on 4/5/2022. Service was completed that day as well as a confirmation email sent. I will write off the balance as an act of good faith, however we did try to contact the client multiple times, in every way possible. The account balance is 0 and there will be no impact to client's credit.

To the BBB, I truly appreciate your swift response to my complaint.  I also appreciate the Lawn Doctor writing off the balance.

I understand that Lawn Doctor sends out blasts in the ways that were stated in their response,  but again,  I have no obligation to open their emails or letters.  To me, it's like unsolicited spam or advertisements.  This is a seasonal business,  so how would anyone remember the letter that was originally sent out a year ago. This is not a forever contract,  and they should require a signature,  with a form of payment,  before services are done.  This is what i did last year.  I feel that this is a slightly deceptive practice.

Thank you for your time and efforts!

      **** Murray
