I just received a home inspection from House Masters in **********, **. I am in shock. There are lies all through this report. For example, our sprinkler system was not good.....we don't have a sprinkler system. The water filtration system was not good....again, we don't have one. There are leaves on the roof. A flowering *********************** needs to be trimmed. There is no drainage on our front deck....another lie. There is a drainage hole there. A sink was missing a stopper. WOW...such a major issue. The drain in the shower was dirty. He said our roof was bad.....it is new...2 years old. He put no light switch at stairway and then puts a picture of the light switch. Goes on and on and on. 75 pages of the most ridiculous things I have ever seen. Not only did we lose a $425,000.00 sale on this house because of this mostly fraudulent report, the person lied. I do not do well with liers. I want this fixed and I want it fixed now by this rip off company. 75 pages of lies. We got marked bad because a door was sticky. WHAT???? I would like to have them buy the house themselves. I want money for this 75 page book of lies. Thank you.Business response

This was an inspection we performed for our buyers. OID *****- 20 ************, *******, ** 30040.
This house was an absolute disaster. The buyer was super thankful for our thorough report and walked away from the house. They shared the report with the sellers, whom, seeing their wanted compensation is for us to now purchase their FSBO home, are a bit on the extreme side. They emailed **** repeatedly, bordering harassment. I corresponded with them and they didnt have much of anything to say back. The buyers agent apologized for sharing the report and felt terrible they attacked us like that.
There was an addition that was pulling away from the house, most all of the windows were rotten, some with broken glass. Screwdrivers were being used as latches to keep doors shut. There was a sliding glass door off track being held closed with a stick. We noted the overgrown foliage because there were rodents in the attic and that very well may have been how they were getting in. There were no gutters, they got mad at us for calling that out because they said they didnt want gutters. Duct tape for plumbing repairs. Signs of water intrusion in the basement and crawlspace with moisture levels at 79% but they said theyd never had a problem with water in the basement. And thats not everything, but you get the gist. They thought very highly of their home and were upset when someone called out the defects. We all agreed to cease communication with them, and they did mention they would report us to the BBB. Since we did not perform the inspection for them and they were not a client of ours, there was no compensation to give them for their poor experience.
