      On April 1 2024 i came to ************ and met with a *********************. Upon meeting **** he was very nice, i pointed out the 2005 ************ Asked him about the car he stated it was a good car , he let me test drive it there were no lights on the dash board . Driving the var it seemed good the service engine light came on i asked him he kept it to check it . He said that was due to needing oil change in about 1000 miles and I said OK I could work with that. He also did explain to me that the air conditioner did not work, but that we could fix that. Upon me coming back the next day we went to the bank. I paid him $3200 in cash. He said he did not have *****. He did not have cash app when we got back to the shop. He said he didnt have receipt paper but if I came back, he would give me a receipt, I came twice. He was not there. On April 18 I got an oil change. The light still never went off the dashboard after that he said that was a sensor that he could fix on April 23 2024 I was driving down the highway and my car started smoking. I was able to drive it to him. He was not there. I came back. He told me that that *** be a little oil that dripped on the engine, but it will go away every day that is hot, my car smokes . I came back May 29. ***** dropped me to my house so that he could take a look at the car to see why it was smoking and within three minutes of him dropping me off at my house. He sent me a message and then called me to say That it is a leak in the main seal. The job is too much a job thats why he didnt fix it. Its $1000 but he would only charge me $500. He said hes not doing it for free . I explained that was supposed to be told to me before hand. . Before I purchased the car and talked, I explain to him that I have kids. I need a reliable car. I asked for my money back. He told me he will not give me my money back he told me to take him to court, I tried to reach out again. He blocked me. I still havent a receipt.

      We received a complaint from ********************************* about a purchase that was made on April 1st 2024. The car was sold for $3,200 and we were only given $3,000 and were promised the other $200 the next day but she never came. The car we sold to her was a car we were selling for someone else. The title was not under my name nor anyone that works here. When the car was first bought, it had no problems other than the oil change and the air conditioner not working. The complaint was that the car started to smoke after 2 weeks of buying the car, and that she came to our shop to complain on April 23rd 2024, when in reality she never came in 2 weeks and came 2 months after to complain. after 2 months the problem cant be fixed for free and that we could fix it for $500. When explaining this to her she got all riled up and wouldnt understand where I was coming from which made it hard to explain why I cant fix the car for free. Warranty or not, fixing a $1000 job on a car would never be fully free. We tried meeting her halfway but she insisted on us having to do this job for free.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      That is not true. He was selling the car for $3500. I told him I had 3200. I had $100 cash on me. He rode with me to the *** bank and I withdrew 3100. If the gas station has cameras, we can run the cameras back to show how many times I came in the owner was not there. I also have the bank statement as well . He never told me anything about the car being someone elses none of that I dont think I should have to spend more money on something that was already wrong with the car. The car was sold to me with the statement that the air conditioner was not working and that it needed an oil change not that there was a major oil leak. I wouldve never brought the car. I still never received the receipt again. The owner was there his daughter was there I tried to talk to the owner. He went from saying that its $1000 to fix it to h*** charge me $500 now he wants to charge me $250. Its not my responsibility that he was not upfront about. The car is my responsibility as a pain customer to get what I pay for and I did not pay for any major oil leaks. Any leaks at all I paid for a reliable car. There are other people who have spoke to me, saying that the owner sold them faulty cars and was dishonest about their cars as well. I dont think I should be putting money out. I have our conversation recorded on video that he knew about the leak. He just said it was too much of a big job to do and that is not fair to me whatsoever. Tried to talk to him multiple times he blocked me. He was not at the shop to talk. He had a employee there who did not speak English and was not able to talk to me. Theres also a gas station worker who works there who can vouch that I was there, and that the car was running extremely hot . I want to fix the car so I have to deal with him. I just want him to fix whats wrong with the car give me a receipt and I go my way.
