      Ocean ********** in *********, **********, repeatedly gave out my account balance to a number of people who deposited into my account. The account balance was given to these people without my consent, and provided on the deposit receipt, without verifying that the depositor was the account owner. I feel this is a violation of my Financial Privacy. When I made a complaint to the bank, requesting that they respect my financial privacy and not give out my account balance to people who do not own the account, they closed my account without explanation. I then spoke to someone at the branch, and was not offered a resolution, simply told that they were closing my account without providing a reason why. The account closure happened not long after the complaint about the account balances being released by their staff, so I expect the two are related.

      ***** First refuses to honor checks written by an 85 year old veteran in ** who has money but faces homelessness and starvation because the *************************** of **************** suspects A lost check book. Even after showing a bank manager said checkbook on a video call, OF won't budge.

      In a response to the customer's original notification to the Bank that she lost her checkbook, the Bank placed a hold on the account as fraud prevention. Since this complaint, ****************** presented a power of attorney and the hold has been lifted. This matter is resolved.

      I attempted to deposit a valid check over $5000 at the **** Landing, ** branch and was questioned about the validity of my check. This check was issued by a large billion dollar mutual fund company. I was told the security features on the check do not work, yea right! Then I was asked several invasive personal questions about me participating in bank fraud by cashing a fictitious check. I gave them my drivers license with my picture on it! I was asked who gave me the check and did I trust the source of the check. I looked at the tellers with total disbelief. I then told them to deposit it so I can leave. I also asked them to wave the wait period since I have deposited checks from this mutual fund in the past. I was told the manager who can authorize this is not here, wait until Monday. To retaliate against me due to my questioning of my personal integrity they neglected to provide me with the money I wanted to withdraw from my account. I was also told that this deposit is out of the norm for me so they are not sure if the check is valid. Is this what Ocean First calls good customer service? They handed me my identification and receipt, I pulled away and realized they did not follow my wishes to withdraw $127.00 from my account having a balance over $3000. What I wished to deposit was overruled by the tellers without any explanation. This forced me to have to go into the bank where I was told you were arguing with me so I didnt help you. Only then did the teller offer a withdraw slip. My deposit slip and the deposit do not match, how can they do this? The receipt I have shows a different amount deposited when compared to the deposit slip. I did not authorize this. This bank has a policy of holding deposit money for several days past the date the check clears. I was given a receipt which shows the deposit but not when the money will become available. I trust this is not the normal policy of the bank. I was not given the dates when my money would be available.

      The Bank's regional manage spoke with ************ and explained that the security precautions were to protect the customer and the Bank, not to disparage his integrity. ************ understood. This issue has been resolved.

      This is regarding the payment of mortgages via their website. In the past two years I have ************* payments to loans with ocean first via my checking account with ocean first. After a payment is made, I get a confirmation that payment was made. A week or two later i get charged late fees because the payment was not accepted. Once I put in wrong number and payment went to a different mortgage and the other I put in a wrong number for my checking account. First time all money was refunded to me. The most recent time the bank refunded me partial payment as the mortgage ***** refused to return *****. What I dont get is how can they send out a confirmation payment, but contact me up to two weeks later saying payment was not received. Just not right!
