On April 16 2024, a payment cleared my account for a ********************** I ordered. June 6th 2024, I still hadn't received even a shipping notification that the transmission would be delivered so I cancelled the order. According to their refund policy, after 6 weeks I am entitled to a full refund. I expected a check for ******* and 2 weeks later I still hadn't received it. The owner said it would be sent out the 21st. There is an email "confirming" the check was sent out end of business on the 21st. It is now July 3rd and I still haven't received the check. This has been 3 months of being jerked around and I don't have my money back. He promised a new check with post office tracking and I haven't gotten a tracking number.Business response

I bought a 5R55E Transmission for my 05 Sport Trac on 06/05/2024, by electronic check, and it is now 6/21/2024, and I cancelled the Transmission order due to all the reviews Ive seen, and all of the excuses with delayed parts. I am afraid that this refund check will bounce, and if it does I will take legal action, and if it comes to it personal action, (which I really hope isnt necessary), Needless to say this guy is a waste of time and a rip off, I will just take my business elsewhere, last time I support a local business like this. Which is sad because it gives small businesses a bad rep. *** I wouldnt call this a small business, would just call it a scam! I paid $1498 after tax, if I dont get ever cent I paid, legal action will be taken!Business response

Not sure what his complaint is? Placed order on June 5th and canceled on June 20th. Clearly states on our website NJ allows 6 weeks for delivery of all internet sales. Had he waited he would have received his transmission. Sometimes hard parts are not readily available on older transmissions and need time to locate. He decided to cancel after approximately 2 weeks

10/26/2023 I ordered a transmission from *** Rivers Transmission in ********** for my truck, I contacted them on 100/27/2023 and asked for a time frame on the build and he emailed me, "**** days from order till delivery" have all the emails about this complaint. Contacted again on 11/08/2023 on a update for transmission. on 11/09/2023 he emailed me and said waiting on torque converter and valve body, i said ok, I contacted again on 11/16/2023, on 11/17/20023 he emailed me, he had the parts, and during assembly they broke a channel in transmission case. On 11/299/2023, i contacted them again, and they emailed me back and i was told case was on backorder. i would have to email them back if i wanted too cancel my order. i did email them back to cancel my order the same day. On 11/30/2023 they received my cancel order, and the refund check was being mailed out. 12/08/2023 still not received the check. I was told on 12/008/2023 that the check would be sent out on 12/099/2023. On 12/15/2023, have still not received the check. I was told by email that he would put a stop payment on check, and issue another check, with a tracking number on 12/22/2023, i did receive the check for ********, not the full amount that i paid of 1,551..50, i should not have to pay a restocking fee for a product i never gotten, also because i was told **** days for the transmission rebuild. in the email.Business response

Clearly ****** on our website, ** allows 6 weeks for delivery of all internet sales tax. All canceled orders prior to that time are subject to restocking fee. Had he waited he would have received his transmission.

The check he sent me had insufficient funds in the account, check amount was 1,164.00
And I should not have to pay a restocking fee for something that was not built, or shipped, he also stated in his emails, the part was on back order.

Check was never presented for payment at my bank so was never returned for insufficient funds. He was charged a restocking fee because his transmission was completed. Had he waited he would have received it. Nobody works for nothing.Customer response

***************I called his bank to verify that the funds are available, no funds to cover the check he sent me, I'm not paying a ***** dollar check bounced charge at my bank, for him not having funds in his account to cover the check. He told me the transmission case was on backorder, so I canceled my order, he is trying to keep the money for nothing he did. There are so many reviews that I found of him not producing the product and giving excuses that he is waiting for parts. He told me in a email that it would be **** business days for the product, I waited way past that time period, I want my full refund. I'm not sending him the check back till I get my total refund back. Keeping check for evidence in the upcoming lawsuit.

I am rejecting this response because:
I have called his bank, the bank check is drawn on, to verify if funds are available in the account of the check, the bank tells me, he has insufficient funds in account to cover this check. I called his bank first to verify if check will clear, before I cash it, I'm not paying for his bounced check, and I will be charged also for the check, him not having the funds. Have him send me a money order, and after I cash the money order, I will return his check to him.

I ordered a transmission from Toms River Transmission on 6/7/2023. Transmission did not arrive in the 6 week time period specified in the company policies on the website. I requested refund in the 7th week 7/27/23. As per the company policies Toms River said checks were mailed on 8/10/23, Check never arrived. I sent Toms River a method to pay electronicallt through Quickbooks on 9/7/23 with no reply or payment. Toms River mailed me a check with tracking info on 9/12/23. Check arrived on 9/14/23 and was deposited. Check did not clear bank due to insufficient funds and was returned to me on 9/25/23. Check was deposited again on 9-25-23 and check failed to clear bank on 9/28/23. Contacted J.R. at Toms River about bounced check and all I get are ******** J.R. responded on 9/30/23by telling me he will send money orders when check is returned. Excuses and stall tactics are what seems to be going on.Business response

Called company about transmission and the guy told me to fill out order form and one he received payment he would start building my transmission. Company and the owner said takes 5 days to build and a few days to ship . Ordered on June 1st and have emailed several time asking what's going on and I get the same song and dance waiting on parts. I am medically disabled and **** was alot of money for me to spend but I need to get my truck fixed. Emailed company about canceling my order and wanting a full refund with certified funds not a personal check and now I am not getting any response from the company. Will also be seeking legal and criminal. Want a full refundBusiness response

Ordered an explorer transmission on March 10th and quoted 3-5 days to build and 3-5 days to ship never was told about having g to wait to order parts. I waited for over two months and they never got the part to build the transmission. I requested a refund over two weeks ago and still have not received it. I need a refund in full. Asap so I can build the transmission myself.Business response

Thought I purchased a transmission from this place but, after a month of not recieving anything which the website says would ship out in 10 business days I called. Was laugh at when telling him my name and given the run around about he was waiting for the parts. After another month of back and forth with no results I decided to cancell and ask for my refund. Here I am a month after we spoke last I was told the check was sent out via regular mail and has no tracking #. I asked for the refund to be deposited into the bank account at whick he took the money from and he told me he can't do that. I have not recieved to date the $1,600 refund due to me.Business response

Ordered a transmission from transmission specialist and I wanted a C6 that was in my truck and he told me he would build me an EO *********************************** sending him $1450. He claimed to have had it built in three days and when a week passed I called him he said he was waiting on parts. I told him I really wanted a C6 transmission because thats whats in my truck right now he says they dont even make them anymore hes never even rebuilt one. I told them no problem just give me my money back. He says go sent me an email to cancel order so I did. A week later I called him looking for the check he said it was in the mail and Im in ************* which is not far from **********. He said he would cancel the check and send me another one which he did. But it was for only $1087 . So he made $363 just for taking a phone call for a day just imagine how many phone calls he gets every day. And having people fall for his trap.Business response

Customer should read invoice he received, states transmission ordered E4OD. He received his refund less restocking fee as stated on our website. Nobody works for nothing

I am rejecting this response because: I contacted Toms river trans the same day that I sent payment. Stating I had a c-6 transmission not the E40D. Told them I would like the c-6 because thats what my truck has. He stated he doesnt build c6 trans. And that the trans will work. But I did the research on it and only way it would work is with 800 dollars in electronics and moving trans mount. As well as cutting the driveshaft. It was less than 7 buisness days I canceled order. He did not start working on the transmission in that time. Just looking for my 363 dollars back

I paid the company ******* for a rebuilt transmission approx. December first after 6 months of hearing all kinds of excuses of waiting on this part waiting on that part I noticed. A crack in your case so waiting on a new one he finally decides he will send me a refund he sent me a check and it bounced.. so now Ive given him ******* and lost $50 I have tried to work with this business in good faith but it seems like they are really in the business of cheating people out of their hard earned money.. please help me get my ******* or a good Quality rebuilt transmissionBusiness response

Transmission was ordered on December 14. Seller wanted an electronic check and solicited banking information. They cashed the electronic check the following day (over 2k dollars) Said it would take 4- 5 days to complete order and the 4-5 days shipping. Contacted several times about delay and not completing order. Emailed several times. Company kept saying it was due to a vendor issue. Finally in Jan 13 I requested a refund. Only after contacting company again was I told the refund was supposed to go out on 22nd but that day was on a weekend so it would be Monday Jan 24th. Still have not received the refund after contacting twice each time was told it went out as stated.. They offered to put stop payment on funds and re-issue with a tracking number. Its now Feb 8th, I asked them to do that and am waiting on a response. Have all emails saved and printedBusiness response
