      At the start of January 2024, I brought my wife's vehicle to ***********'s Repair (owner *******************) for installment of brakes and rotors. At that time my wife's vehicle had approximately 39k miles on the vehicle. At that time ******************* indicated that the cost to replace all four rotors and brake pads would cost $925.00 Cash. After agreeing to move forward, ******************* installed all four rotors and brake pads. After two months and approximately 46k miles my wife indicated that her car was shaking uncontrollably when she would brake. Therefore, I took her vehicle to the local STS shop on Route 202/206 in ***********, **. After STS reviewed the car they determined that the issue with the vehicle had to do with malfunctioning rotors and faulty installation of brakes to the front of the vehicle. In following, I had STS remove the front rotors and brakes and install new rotors and brakes to the vehicle. STS then provided the rotors and brakes that were faulty and indicated that these rotors and brakes are relatively new and that they should not have this issue. STS recommended I call back the original person who installed the rotors and brakes. I reached out to *** Auto Repair and spoke to the owner on March 4th, 2023 and he indicated he was away but would be returning on March 13, 2024. I contacted *** Auto Repair on Thursday March 14, 2024 and the owner *** indicated to come to the shop the following day March 15, 2024. I informed him of the situation and he told me he could do nothing for me. I requested a refund in total and was willing to offer the rotors and brakes back to *** Auto Repair for there record. I was denied and they wouldn't offer me any money for my inconvenience. In conclusion, I'm requesting the full amount owed back to me.       in response to this complain i am aware of the situation i was away from my business from March 1 to March 13 yes ********************* contacted me on March 4 in which i informed him that i would resolve the issue when i return he had the job done elsewhere so that voids the warranty i will be more then happy to replace the defective parts with new parts at no charge but will not refund cash thank yoiu

      I am rejecting this response. First, I want to thank the shop owner for acknowledging that the work he did was unsatisfactory. I also can confirm that we did exchange messages on March 4th, 2024 which he then proceeded to tell me he wouldn't be returning until March 13, 2024. At that time (March 4) I indicated that I couldn't wait and needed to address the brake issue immediately for the safety of my family. Therefore, I spent $426 dollars to solve the issue that was created by ***'s Mechanic Shop at STS Repair on Route 202 in ***********, **. On March 14th, 2024 I texted ***********'s Mechanic and offered to come in to resolve the issue. *** indicated to come in on Friday MArch 15, 2024 which I did. In following, I drove to ***'s shop to resolve the issue I walked towards him and informed him that "I have the 2 rotors and brake pads that you installed faulty." How would you like to resolve this issue? *** indicated "I can't do anything for you the warranty is void." I paused and proceeded to ask him "are you sure?" He said "I can't do anything for you." At this time I'm out $426 dollars for correcting the work that wasn't done correctly by ***'s Mechanic Shop. I would like to add that I was willing to give ***'s Auto, back the parts and be made whole for the parts. I understand that I wore these brakes and rotors for a little over 5k miles (which keeps them under warranty 10k miles and less than 1 year of worn.) Therefore, as a solution that could be mutually beneficial to both parties and relinquish any bad standing for *** with the BBB. I'm requesting we share in the cost of the correct and he offer me $213.00 for the corrected work. I believe this is equitable and fair to both parties.
