I purchased a AAA battery from AAA New England approximately one year ago. According to AAA, the battery comes with a 6-year warranty. The first three years include a free replacement if the battery test fails. I had no issues with the battery until the weather turned cold. At that time, the battery died overnight and I had to have AAA come out and jump the battery to start the vehicle. From that point forward, the battery will no longer hold a charge. I have had AAA roadside assistance come out numerous times since then to jump the vehicle. Each time, they have tested the battery and stated that it passed. They also tested my charging system and reported that passed as well. Despite the battery allegedly passing their test, the vehicle will not start again immediately after shutting it off even though the vehicle was driven for several hours to charge the battery. After the third service call regarding the battery, AAA informed me that I should take the vehicle to a garage and have the battery charger for several hours. This was only mentioned to me after the battery failed a fourth time and I called to have it replaced. I have thus far wasted four different afternoons waiting for AAA, including one afternoon when they canceled the call. AAA has refused to replace the battery or honor the warranty. Given that the battery was purchased a year ago and the vehicle was never left without being started for more than a few days, I dont believe I should have to spend an afternoon having the battery charged at a garage when the battery is only a year old. It should not have died in the first place. AAA has been dishonest about who has the authority to remedy the situation within AAA, referring me back and forth between departments who each state that the other department can help me when Im actuality, no one has assisted me in any way. I would like the battery, which is clearly defective and cannot be relied on, to be replaced or I would like to have my money refunded.
