      On October 16, 2021 my friends and I spent our evening at Son Cubano. I valet parked my Jeep Cherokee with the restaurant. At the end of the night I proceeded to retrieve my vehicle. When the car pulled up I entered the vehicle without realizing my key fob was not in the car. I drove off and simultaneously made a phone call. I stayed on the phone throughout my ride home to Staten Island (38 min), upon shutting my car off, a message came across my dash board that read, " Key Fob not detected." I searched my purse and the car to no avail. I tried reporting the missing key as soon as discovering the valet was still in possession of the key, the restaurant was closed. I immediately sent an email for someone to call me as soon as possible. I waited to 11am,( when opened) in which I called approximately 46 times, maybe more. No answer! My brother went in person to the restaurant where he was treated very foul by the *********** He requested to speak to a manager. At this time they proceeded to look for the key and was unsuccessful. At this point I asked my brother to pass the phone to one of the managers. I expressed my genuine concern that things happen and please get in touch with the driver from the night before to ensure he did not have the key. I expressed to him that I only have one key and key fob replacements are very costly. Unfortunately, all he came up with was if the key was found I would get a call back. Thankfully I was able to get a locksmith over in which the key fob was replaced for $480.00. At NO time not one manager showed a genuine concern for this issue. A manager by the name of **** called my husband yesterday and was condescending and unpleasant. The principle of this complaint is that WE(the customers) spend our time and money in these establishments, we keep these establishments running with our continued support (this was not my first time dining at the restaurant). Not an once of concern or suggestion was pitched during this difficult time. I had to ensure to humble myself since I lacked the responsibility to ensure the key was in the vehicle but so did the valet driver. Not at one time was empathy expressed. The situation was badly handled and I wouldn't want to see any future patrons goes through such a situation.
