My family and I were supposed to stay here 8/26-8/28/2022. We pull in and the entire building is in severe disrepair. The rooves were rotted. The siding was falling off. There was dangerous staging and some random tools left all over. There were people outside doing drugs. I was unaware that this particular location allows people to live there. The grounds were littered and unkempt. I go up to the outdoor check in window and my husband asked if the place was even open. It was horrible. The pool was closed, not that we would have used it anyway, based on the appearance of the rest of the property. The layout reminded me of a crack house in the projects on some seedy street. It was awful. My kids would not get out of the car. My daughter started crying. The lady at the window looked like she wanted to die. So, I ask for the manager- to see if we can get a refund. I was told to call back Saturday. I call Saturday.. Manager is not in. Call back Monday. So.. I call back Monday. Manager answers. I tell her the issue. I say I would like a refund. I said, the website did not reflect this. It seemed like false advertisement. She raised her voice and said they are not allowed to update the website with a construction notice. It is against policy. That sounds shady to me. Then I tell her there were people doing drugs around the back where the units are made for folks living there. She tells me I am wrong, no there wasn't.. like she was there. I insist and she says it was probably just weed. It's legal in **. Yup, I know and I don't care about weed.. and I also know the difference between weed and other illegal substances. This manager disagreed with me the entire time. I just want my refund. So she tells me I didn't even go in the room and give it a chance. I told her based on the outside, I am probably right to have left. And from the looks of the previous reviews.. I was spot on. Then she tells me I can maybe get a partial refund. I agreed but feel I wasnt given a choice.
