Beginning March 25th my father had passed in his home. I contacted the funeral home March 27th (location off of 1st St.) The funeral home allowed other family members to claim his body and put their names on documents. When going over the paperwork in person at least 3 times. Every time the paperwork was submitted there was some error to the information. The case was being taken care of by a woman named *********. The funeral home had me and other family members call places for them due to no response from the *** hospital. I called and had results that day. Also, they told me they could only give me a 24 hour notice for the cremation date which ended up not being true. I feel like I was mistreated and taken advantage of because of my grief. This is the first death I have to organize/plan and the funeral home took advantage of this. When it was all said and done the funeral home still submitted the death certificate with wrong and missing information. We were told there was nothing the funeral home could do and to contact ***** *******. Every time I visited the funeral home it seemed short staffed and ********* always looked over worked, overwhelmed, and frazzled. I just don't want their bad business practices to be someone else's problem in the future.
