March 26, 2022 After a request for quotes via Angi's list for Dryer Vent Cleaning, we had Polar Heat Services come to our home to do an inspection of our dryer vent/ducting. The technician who came out, Kevin, said our vent was not up to code, and that if he did a cleaning, he would also have to replace the cap on the roof. We are currently under contract with a roofing company and a general contractor related to the roofing issues and asked Kevin if we could receive a report of the work that needed to be done, as well as references to code issues so we can run the repairs by our contractor first. We were told that even though the technician didn't do any work on the house, we would still have to pay $199.56 for the visit. We wrote a check, which was deposited by Polar on March 29, 2022. We also requested a receipt for payment from Polar to be sent in the email with the invoice/report. We have called multiple times since March 26, 2022, and still have not received the receipt for payment and report. My husband was able to make contact with the technician, Kevin, at his direct phone number, who stated that the office seems to have left a letter off of the email they sent to my husband, and that we should expect to receive the resent receipt and report within three days. This was on April 14, 2022. It's now been three business days, and we still have not received the receipt of payment or report for repairs needed. We cannot get a hold of anyone in the office, the email address that's listed on their website is no longer valid (********************), and they will not return phone calls. We are concerned this company is scamming other people and we would like to receive the documents due to us, or our money back.
