This business allows for one additional person to accompany the customer to the appointment in the name of covid protocols. While I was there, I witnessed several adults go inside accompanied by other adults. I brought my daughter there to get her ears pierced a few months ago and was very happy with their service. Today, since it’s spring break and she has no school, we had an appointment to return to have her piercings checked to see if she had healed and could start switching out her earrings. They would not allow us inside because we also had her four-year-old sister with us. First, they cited safety concerns. I offered to hold her for the entire appointment to mitigate this concern. I was refused. I offered to wait outside and do the appointment outside since there was no piercing involved this time. They refused. I asked them to just bring some jewelry outside to sell to me. They also refused this request. They refused to serve my daughter in any capacity because I was a mother without access to childcare. I offered many solutions and was flatly turned away from their business due to having a small child. All this while other adults fully capable of managing their appointments alone we’re still allowed to bring their partners, friends, etc. Only we were completely refused service.Business response

I sincerely apologize that this happened to you and your family. There are some policies that we need to be very strict about for legal and safety reasons, but this was not one of them, and you should have been welcomed in when you arrived. It is our fault as owners that some members of our team didn't know they could ask to make exceptions for instances such as this. We are glad that you brought this mistake to our attention so we can improve communication within the studio.
