In 2022, I signed a contract with NM Solar, Financed by Mosaic, a finance company which finances solar power solar panels and hardware. The panels were installed around October/November of 2022. After numerous delays due to inspections, equipment issues and difficulties in coordination with the local electric company, (El Paso Electric). NM Solar declared bankruptsy in late 2022. I had been working with Mosaic and the NM attorney general who is investigating the situation. Numerous emails and text messages with Mosaic and the attorney general appeared to be working toward a fair resolution, however in January of this year Mosaic reported late payments to the credit services dropping my excellent credit score over 100 points. I advised Mosaic early on that I would make no further payments since the contract was never completed. Now they are insisting I pay the full amount of the loan of $47,000. My contention and position is that the panels are nearly 1-1/2 years old, that no other solar companies would complete the installation without "starting over", and that they need to remove all panels and hardware from my residence and cancel the loan. On oner hand the company agrees that there is an issue, and they will contact me to resolve the problem, they assigned a case number ********, however I have received. massages that they have no obligation to solve the problem and I should contact the installer and work with the warranties, which no longer are valid.

The problem now is with Mosaic the finance company who insists I’m responsible for the loan and who financed the loan for a system which was never installed and panels have been on my roof for nearly eighteen months.

This company lied. I feel like I was rushed into the contract and now I understand why. I had been reaching out to the company as I was told there wouldn't be any finance charges to the loan with ****** for the solar panels if I selected a higher interest rate but I am still being charged finance fees monthly. I reached out to ****** and they referred me back to NM Solar Group. NM Solar would not answer my calls originally to discuss this and when someone finally did call me I was at work so I couldn't answer and had to call them back. When I called, ***** said he was in a meeting and he would call me back in a few minutes and never did. Now I get a letter stating they filed for bankruptcy. It seems like they were already in the process when I got installed and didn't mention anything. The entire experience was horrible. All I want is to get what I was promised and know what's going to happen to the 30 yr warranty they stated I would get and revise the loan to get a finance free loan as promised.

I put a deposit down several months ago to add some solar panels to my existing system. I have reached out numerous times as I felt the project was moving slowly. I received no indication that the company was going out of business. I would like my deposit back if they cannot finish the project.

I purchased a 8.259 kW Solar system from NM Solar Group on 07/21/2023. They installed the solar panels and part of the solar system. I called the El Paso Electric company today 08/16/2023 to inquire as to when the system would be connected by the electric company because I am not able to get a hold of the project manager Josh G******* and he is not returning my calls. I was informed today by the electric company (El Paso Electric) that NM Solar group was closed and the orders for my solar system had been cancelled. A promotion to pay for my electric bill for the first six months was included with the purchase of the solar system and now I have to start paying the loan obtained from Nusenda Credit Union for $30,624.65 (located in New Mexico) on 09/16/2023. The system is not up and running so I am having to pay for the electric bill, the loan for the solar system and I have contacted the bank in relation to the solar system loan. At no point did New Mexico Solar group disclose they would be going out of business or that my inspection and connection orders were cancelled by them. I was also informed by the electric company that the electrician was not paid. I am wondering if the electrical work was even completed to my house. NM Solar also needs to pay for my electric bill for the first six months as advertised or it is false advertisement and deceptive business practices and fraud. Who is going to monitor my solar panels now and finish the project they were already paid for without the services not being rendered. I have additional documents if needed to submit to the BBB of further proof.

My husband and I signed an agreement to have Solar Panels installed in Aug of 2022. The company got us financing for the installation and service through Sunlight Financial for $117,492.43 over 360 months. The initial installation was only supposed to take 2-4 months but nearly a year later we still have an incomplete project. The system already failed inspection twice which is why it is not hooked up. We are paying an electricity bill and solar panel bill that comes to over $600 a month at times and now we have these huge panels bolted on our roof that are completely useless. We need the panels removed, the rest of our financing returned, the money already paid returned and our roof repaired after the panels get removed. I have included some of our contracts and photos of they system on our roof. The business is not responding to us because they are now out of business....what did they do with our money?

Thereafter, someone from the business was supposed to assist us with collection of necessary documentation for filing of State and Federal solar incentives and tax credits. We signed a contract with NM Solar and were waiting on permits. Today we received an email from a Monica P**** saying the business had suddenly laid everyone off and she didn't know what would happen to customers like us. We paid for half of the work up front (about $17.5K)! We need that money back so we can start all over again with someone else.
