In November 2023, BBB Serving New Mexico and Southwest Colorado investigated Starwood Logistics business practices. This investigation was prompted by consumer inquiries and a Scam Tracker report.

Consumers have alleged the following through a BBB consumer review and a complaint: 
- This company and ******* ***** are scamming. They asked me to send money transfers to out of country accounts or random zelle accounts because he said there system was down. After my supposedly puppies took off from NM he asked me for $2000 for pet insurance and said they couldn't get on a connecting flight without that. Then when he got that money. He said they couldn't fly until I payed for vet bills, and I had to pay another **** in vet bills and puppy chips which I never asked for. So he said while they were in flight if I didn't send them $3000 I wouldn't get my dogs and they will go to shelters. He was also asking me to send this money to random peoples bank accounts and saying when the bank calls you for a fraud alert to lie to them. I never received any puppies or my money back. I have police reports on this company. Do not trust this company. He is in coohots with scammers on a puppies website to buy and ship dogs. The website is riverdachshundhome.
- This company is working with Riverdachshundpuppies. Together they have ripped me off for $3,500. Starwood logistics is the company that the puppies travel to their destination with. The Starwood guys name is Collins. He’s very very clever. I gave Starwood $2000. $1000. For crates, and $1000. to insure the puppies on their flight (which never happened) now they’re telling me the puppies are sick and trying to get even more money out of me. The puppy scammer Riverdachshundpuppies took me for $1,500. My husband and I are retired, not real computer savvy. We’re working on getting our money back. Please do something so this doesn’t happen to anyone else

In August, 2020, BBB checked the website for Starwood Logistics to determine when it was created. The website was created on September 25, 2023. 

BBB made inquiries to Starwood Logistics via email asking for the following:
- Starwood Logistics U.S. Department Of Transportation, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, USDOT Number and New Mexico Public Regulation Commission licensing information.
- Supporting documentation of having an office at 1505 Terminal Dr, such as a rental lease agreement and an utility bill.
- Any additional operations addresses, mailing addresses, warehouse addresses and phone numbers.
- Copies of Starwood Logistics documentation and disclosures provided to consumers such as contracts, warranties, and invoices.

To date, BBB has not received a response from Starwood Logistics.

Based on the information detailed above, BBB cannot state with confidence that we have a clear understanding of the business.
