On March 6th, 2024. I received an email from my former property manager stating that I do not make enough money to continue living in the residence and that my roommate and I either needed to find other living arrangements or move out. My roommate and I moved out of the house on March 30th because we could not find a new roommate. On April 29th My roommate and I received a letter in the mail form Dunagan and Associates saying that not only do we need to pay for damages to the house, but we also need to pay April rent which is 2200 and a 300 dollar "not enough notice of move out fee." Please note that the damages to the house amount to about 800 dollars which include broken blinds, change lightbulbs a deep clean and yard work. We will be more than happy to pay for damages. However, my roommate and I refuse to pay April rent because we moved out before the first of April, and we also refuse to pay the "not enough notice" fee because we were given 25 days to either find a new place or roommate. I will be more than happy to forward any email that I have saved and the bill from Dunagan and Associates to you if you need more information. As far as my roommate and I know our lease agreement ended on April 1st, 2024, which is after the move out date.Business response

We are currently discussing the complaint with *** **** and hope to have a resolution this week. Will update this after our conversation with him.Customer response

The issue has not been resolved as of 7/22/24. Dunagan has agree to lower the charge amount from 3,790 to 1,790. They agreed we should not have to pay for April since we moved out on March 30th. However they want us to pay for damages to the house about 800. I have confirmed that new tenants have moved into the house. They also want us to pay a 300 move out fee. We were supposed to give them 30 day notice but they told us that we have 24 days to vacate. If needed I can send that email to you.Business response

****,
Can you please change the contact info for our business to myself? ****** is no longer an owner of the business. It is owned by ***** ****** and myself.
We attempted to reach *** **** by phone and then emailed him what we could do to resolve the issue. We agreed to waive the deposit forfeiture and any rents owe3. He would only be responsible for the cleaning fee and repairs. This would leave him with a refund of $309.78. He did not respond to the email that was sent to him on 7/3 nor to any of the voicemails that were left for him.
Please let us know what else we can do to resolve this.
Take care,
Muffy
