I called the company 11/18/22 for pricing on installing a ball valve on my boiler. The lady said it’s $130 a hour plus parts. I said okay and scheduled the appointment for 11/22/22. The day came and two guys showed up. They came inside and looked to see what parts they needed. Left 5 minutes later and didn’t come back until over hour and half later. Installed the part and stuck around for over a hour and half bleeding air out of the boiler. They said they still not sure why air is coming out after a hour. So they left and about 30 minutes later another guy showed up to check the boiler. He said everything was fine and left. Later that afternoon right before they closed the invoice was sent to me. The invoice was for 2 guys on the job and totaling 4 hours. I wasn’t made aware of the full disclosure about every person showing up is a charge and the total time to install a ball valve. Leaving for 2 hours and not knowing if that’s what they actually did is get parts. Their business is about 5 minutes away from my house. So I called the next day and asked about the invoice and the owner **** was raising his voice and defensive. I didn’t raise my voice and calmly tried to ask questions. After his spiel of why they charge what they do I wasn’t able to have another question answered. He then proceeded tell me if the invoice is not paid they will seek legal action and hung up on me. I waited 10 minutes before calling back to talk to them so he can cool down. And now they’re not answering my phone call and avoiding me. I used my wife’s phone to make sure if they were avoiding me. And they immediately picked up the phone because it wasn’t my number.Business response

In Responds to this complaint. This Customer just bought this house and has been told by us several times by us that the Boiler system in question is in very poor condition and we Recommend Replacing it ASAP.
There has just been many replacement of parts to this boiler system that was done by someone else? to try to keep it alive? We do not know who did it or why this customer called us to finish the Job the other guy did not do?
The work scope we did to this boiler did not require any type of permit because it was a emergency repair or we install a 1 1/4 valve to bleed the air out of the system . The work scope require a 1 1/4 valve of witch there is no supply house in the east mountains so we had to drive from ****** **** to Albuquerque to get this special valve and parts need for this project.
My guys install this valve so the "Customer Himself" can keep removing the air leaking into Boiler system because the system needs to be replace ASAP.
My guys on there I Pads charge our company from 7:00 am to 11:30 or 4.5 hours each and we only charge the Customer 4 man hours as attached by his invoice to Help him and he is still calling us and complaining about everything ???...
Please Note we will not work on this Boiler again for any reason because we feel it needs to be Replace ASAP and he has paid the invoice

I am rejecting this response because:
No we do not need any inspector for something that is a non issue. My boiler was working fine before they came and after they left. What I wanted installed was a valve so I can flush each zone. That was all. Nothing else. Now this owner seems to bringing to issue about something that was not the problem. The issue was time which I can get over but not the multiple people he sent. Which I was not aware of. Nor did he bother to tell me they charge per person that shows up to do the job. When we called to discuss the bill we were recording our phone call with turquoise trail which included the receptionist and owner. For proof they lied to me. They are recorded saying this after the job was done and receiving the invoice. Upon asking the receptionist about the per person charge her response was “I don’t know” and asking the owner, his response was “we’re gonna charge for whoever was there, that’s just the way it is” So now that is a lie about saying they told me when they clearly didn’t.
