      I am an NCO, active duty Air Force at Cannon AFB since Dec 2019. I came here for them to fix my truck’s issue of it stalling out mid drive, taking 2-3 attempts to start, and for my check engine light/check gas cap to turn off. After 8 days of holding my vehicle (mechanic ***** got sick is what I was told) I was told on the phone by *****, that the work and labor accomplished totaled around $350, and that he still needed to check the gaskets. I asked if the gaskets were bad how much more would that be? He told me around $30 more if anything. I said ok. The following day ***** left a voice message early that morning saying to call him back to discuss my truck. I was still under the impression that my cost is $350. ***** tells me that he needs a couple more days to diagnose the issue & that my total cost would be around $1100. I said absolutely not, and that I’m going to come pick up my vehicle today. He then tells me the overall total is now $750, and no longer $350, WHEN I DID NOT authorize any extra work that “needed” to be done past the “around” $350 cost. They keep telling me they didn’t charge me for 8+ hours of labor, at a $100/hr rate, again that I didn’t authorize. I was not asked or told that they would do extra work in advance other than a possible $30 gasket replacement the day prior (pending his diagnoses). He/they (the shop) took it upon themselves to take the “initiative” and found other apparent issues that needed “diagnostic tests”. Upon reaching the shop I told *****, the owner Mr. *****, and his wife who handles the admin, that I was not okay with paying the $750 cost and that I was told $350 the day prior. This opened up a can of worms for the next horrific back and forth events to follow. I was threatened, bullied, insulted, and 100% coerced into paying $520 (lowest price I can get them to budge on). I have the full conversation recorded on my phone and will further seek legal action. would love to share more but I am only allowed 2000 characters.

      On November 15th of 2021 I took my vehicle to ************ to be serviced ************ advised me they were not able to change my oil because there was an oil leak they advised me that I can take my car to a auto shop called black Locks Auto I went to Blacklocks Auto I let them know what was going on with the vehicle they advised me that I can leave my vehicle there they will fix the oil leak and fix the oil pan and that was the only issue that my car had at that time they told me to come back within a day or two and the vehicle should be done so I returned within a day or two to Blacklockd Auto Instead of fixing the oil leak and a oil pan Which was the only issues when I took my vehicle in they said they fixed numerous issues before advising me so after this I was charged $1,422 for this issue of only an oil leak and a hole in my oil pan I believe I was way overcharged so I went to pick up my vehicle and I left Blacklist Auto later that day my car broke down again I called Blacklocks Auto advised them of what happened they came and pick my vehicle up towed it back to their auto shop and again service my car when my vehicle is done this time instead of calling my personal phone number that I gave them they contacted my neighbor who went with me the first time I took the vehicle it which makes me believe that they had some type of personal issue or prejudice against me or why else wouldn't they have called my phone number instead so after the second time of my car going to the shop they charge me $469 I believe just for an oil leak in a hole in my oil pan to begin with and ending up having to pay $1,422 out of my money my vehicle is still out of commission and they don't do refunds so I'm totally just out of luck I would like someone to help me with this issue in a timely matter to whom it may concern thank you very much.

      Apparently customer took vehicle to ****** ****** for oil change. They would not change it due to oil leaks. We inspected it. No hole in oil pan only a nylon oil drain plug drip. We looked at it further and found upper Intake gasket leaking down the back of engine down to oil pan. Asked the lady if she wanted to put this much money in a Lasabre with 232,215 miles Engine & Transmission was cracked on oil & coolant (crusty) metal by pass tubes seeping was 2 ½ quarts low on oil when we got it. Also a small seap at radiator tab where fan attaches, We powerwashed it a degreased it with 2 quarts H.D Hot Shot degreaser and it hardly got it clean since it’s been leaking so long. I only dealt with the lady one time. It was a man I had contact with the most. We replaced upper intake gaskets, metal by pass water tubes, Patched radiator told him it needs replaced. Changed oil & oil filter. Also changed valve cover gaskets & PVC Valve (was stuck shut) that will blow out all gaskets. Test drove it ot base and back twice. Let run in parking lot. Saw a few spots on drive subframe full of oil from previous leaks. Gave it to the gentleman Ive been dealing with. A few days later we were called and told the vehicle would not start. We went and towed it at no charge. Looked over our work. Put computer on it. No Camshaft t crankshaft correlation. Tested it The camshaft sensor was bad. Inspected & ohmed wiring is ok. Put a crankshaft & camshaft sensor on. It started right up. Test drove again. As I said at the top of this letter. Vehicles with this mileage, condition & age will continue to be a money pit. And maintenance was not kept up during its life. We are professionals at this location since 1994, 8 years in TX.

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is not satisfactory to me the paperwork doesn't even match the description of what the company has said. I would still like my vehicle fixed as well as a entire refund please.
