  Work on a simple small bathroom remodel began December 14, a job La Mesilla estimated about 1-2 weeks. Now on January 7 the work is far from finished. The company architect Thomas assured us that all work would be completed by Xmas. The first set of workers put in a maximum of 5 hours a day while grunting and complaining every day inside the home. Minimal work was done each day with little supervision. Subcontracted plumbers hired by La Mesilla did incorrect and faulty work on the shower and sink area, so much so that the owner had to call in the architect to re-do the shower plumbing on a Sunday. Finally on Tuesday January the 4th, 2022 a much better team was called in to finish the work. On Friday the 7th, the vanity/sink plumbing was insufficient and the home owner had to call in a separate plumber on Monday 10th to fix all plumbing jobs, causing further delay. Project manager not on site, does not answer his phone to resolve problems in a timely fashion. Owner of business was unconcerned and told homeowner he never had any complaints. As of January 7, work still unfinished with much left to do. Safety concerns about mask wearing not taken seriously.

  The people we tried to please on this project are next to impossible.  We never gave them a time line and they insisted on changing the scope-of-work several times.  They treated my crew very poorly including racial slurs.  LMC has never had a complaint on any project before and I do not want to confront these people.  Thanks- John Y****

  Thank you for adding this final comment to our complaint. Unfortunately the company has taken zero responsibility. It has been two months and this small job remains unfinished. Lacking ethical business practices, LMC relies on offensive racist lies that divide our communities—instead of taking responsibility for poorly managed, shoddy work. Locals expect facts and fairness from our Northern New Mexico business communities. The problem is not solved and the work remains unfinished two months later.
