On the 4th of July, my father **** ** ******** died and we contacted Calvary Funeral Home from Eunice NM to take care of the Funeral process. We paid a total of $7,259.20 for all the services that are on the contract that will be attached with this complaint, .when we arrived at the cemetery, there was no tent, no chairs, and just the hole on the ground with nothing around it to cover the sides, there was also two pieces of plywood, one in each side of the hole, there was no equipment to lower the casket down. I want a full refund of what we paid, because {we}, the family feel that the funeral home director Sam G*****, which is the person that should have ordered that equipment has failed to do so, just added more pain to what we were going through Please see attachments of Contract, payment receipt, and evidence. and I also have a video that I was not able to upload. This is a response to complaint number ID ********.
Thanking you in advance for your concerns and giving me the opportunity to respond to Mrs. ****** ******'s complaint regarding cemetery set up. Please find attached order acceptance acknowledgement. It's self explanatory. We ordered the set up through a company named ******* located in Lubbock, Texas on Tuesday, July 06, 2021 and the order was confirmed (please see attached docs.) Items ordered were, 2PC concrete box 30", tent, chairs, and lowering device and to be delivered to the Eunice Cemetery for graveside services on July 08, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. We did what was expected of us in regards to the cemetery set up. ******* in Lubbock, Texas was not able to the set up due to overloaded orders so they gave the order to the Midland office. We were not aware that ******* did not show up until we had gotten to the cemetery. We called ******* in Lubbock, Texas and spoke with the manager, **** and was told we would not be charged for this setup. Once we determined that ******* was not going to show up we setup our own lowering device and completed the service. Notice on the contract the setup was not charged to the family in the amount of 1$,730.23 due to them not showing up. We always order the cemetery equipment through ******* they are the only company that we can order these items through. In conclusion we setup on our personal setup and buried Mr. **** ******** and performed our services to the best of our ability. We take our families very serious and would never initially hurt them, but we cannot answer for another companies mistakes. As to payment for services I am not going to return the amount the reflecting the $7,259.20. We completed our services and apologize for the iinconvience this may has caused.
