June 5, 2023 called ***** ******** of al-tee electric. Asked what his hourly rate was, he state it was "80 hr". Hired him to check eletric problem. Time i called and hired was at 12:19pm. He arrived at 1:31pm. Showed him the problem. The main fuse was bad and the breaker amp needed a 20amp. This took about 15min asked him if he going to fix it he stated he did not have the things needed to fix the problem. I asked him how much..he stated "160$". I stated "what 160 but you were only here for a short time and you did not fix it" he stated" his time starts when he leaves." For arguement sake i paid him. As he was really only on the job for 15 min i would like a refund adjustment. Also when asked for a reciept to provide one.Business response

Customer called at that date and time, and it was when I was heading to another project in Cedar Hill. I was in Flora Vista when he called and he said he could not get anyone else out there. I offered a suggestion to him and he said they do not work there. I told him I would reach out to my current customer to see about rescheduling. I called him back and said I can come at $80.00 an hour and my time starts when I travel. He said he would call back and I waited for his return call. He then called back and said to come. I gave him my rate of $80.00 an hour and that it was going to start when I turned around, it was an hour there and an hour back. Found the new hot water heater the consumer had installed was on the wrong type of breaker. I checked with my meter on the outside and found that is where the problem was. It was a troubleshooting situation, we find out what the issue is and then go and get the parts to fix the items. This is normal for this operation, to find the issue and then go and get the part. I did check if I had a part in my truck that would work for him and I did not. I told him I would get the part and it would be on the clock. Instead he asked what part he needed which I provided to him. But I did not do the repair and told him I did not know if there could be something additional causing the issue. I am not going to give a refund, that is two hours out of my time.Customer response
