I purchased a 2008 Ford F-150 4x4 from Car Land in 2019. Soon after it had a major issue and the bottom end of the engine had to be replaced. Not too long after in 2020 it started jerking and sputtering. I had them check it out. I was told it was a spark plug wire and it was rigged to work. The problem continued and slowly started progressively getting worse. In June 2021 I took the truck in and was told it was cam phasers they fix a lot of these trucks with this issue. I ended up paying $2300 for the repair. It did not fix the problem. I took the vehicle in 2 more times for this issue. Leaving me without a vehicle for weeks at a time. The last time I took ot in I was told they did an oil pressure test and the pump was bad and now I needed a new engine. Which would cost me $6100 for a remanufactured engine I reluctantly agreed. At the time I was told they would roll it into my existing finance loan and would probably be 60 to 80 dollars a month more. I was without my truck for over a month. When they called to say it was done I was told that it would be given back to me as a high interest loan. Causing my payment to jump from $465 a month to over $1000 a month. It is currently at their shop and I do not know how to proceed. I have contacted ******** ******* in Albuquerque and am awaiting a response. I have not hired him yet. Please help me if you can. The customer and Car Land reached an agreement in person to handle this issue rather than going through the Better Business Bureau. Both parties are satisfied, and we consider this case resolved with a positive outcome.Customer response
