A periodontal maintance was done on 10/25/22. Again was done on 1/11/23. The procedure was done too early. There is a waiting period of 94 days. It was done 78 days later. A total of 16 days too early. A charge of $168.00 they want. It was their fault.Business response

To Whom It May Concern,
Patient ****** ********* is a patient at our Desert Peaks Dental location, where she has been seen for her dental needs. On the date of 10/25/2022 patient was seen for a ***** CODING FOR PERIODONTAL SCALING AND ROOT PLANING (SRP), PER QUADRANT OR PARTIAL QUADRANT. Due to the treatment rendered a periodontal maintenance is set to be scheduled 3 months after the procedure for healing purposes. On 1/11/2023 the patient was seen for the periodontal maintenance, and the claim is still open on our software system, pending denial or completion. We have not closed out the claim, due to not receiving an Explanation of Benefits (Payment) from the insurance carrier ******. When the EOB is received we do our due diligence and research in verifying the approval or denial reason. When the denial is found to be an error made in office a adjustment is made on the patient ledger. We had not received this EOB for date of service 1/11/2023. A request has been made with ****** for the EOB in question for date of service 1/11/2023. We have adjusted the balance on the ledger pending receipt of Humans EOB, for our records. We also indicate that there has not been a billing statement generated on our software.
