Business: *** Lucero Lucero Homes, Inc. ************ *** ******** ** ********** *********************** Primary issue for which seeking refund: $2800 paid to "2. Repair and refinish kitchen hardwood floors: $2,800.00" Company was unqualified to perform this job. Seeking refund for poor workmanship. First finish, sanded with handheld belt sander, many inconsistencies. ****** (worker) said floor was in a "fragile" state, but was not sealed for over a week. Was told of cabinet schedule days before, did not seal it. No time to seal it so went forward with plaster work, which covered the floor with plaster dust, their workers mashed powder into floor; they vacuumed, but dust was in raw wood fibers. They sealed floor. *** Lucero came after and said, without provocation, that it "looked like ****" and that he would have it redone. Most inconsistencies not due to plaster dust, but sanding, since many systematic inconsistencies are around the edge where no one walked. Additionally, finish color much darker than original floor finish which matches the extensive wood in the rest of the home. Resanded and sealed, did not improve. Two layers of sanding have taken life from the floor. Additional issues not seeking compensation: Several. Details: Work period: 1/3/23 Quote to 2/9/23, when I fired the company. 1. 1/3/23 Quote 2. 1/6/23 Payment 1-of-2, $3600 cash. 3. Business committed: We agree to do the following work at the above mentioned address. Job Description: ... 2. Repair and refinish kitchen hardwood floors: $2,800.00 ... ALL WORK TO COMPLETED BY ****** ********* IS WARRANTED FOR ONE YEAR FROM TIME OF COMPLETION 4. Nature of dispute: refund over (2) 5. Business has ignored my repeated contacts to resolve. 6. No account number. PDFs attached for payment, all emails, all text messages (2-floors highlighted in yellow; stolen impact driver in gray), stolen impact driver evidence (another issue, resolved).Business response

I oversaw the project for the consumer. We walked away from the job when the consumer decided to hire someone else. I did not receive the money owed to me for overseeing the job and have not attempted to collect it. Instead we walked away and do not want to have any further contact with the consumer. The consumer is not due a refund. Also, we did extra work for him while there that he was not charged, such as a bathroom issue that occured while we were there and we fixed it for him. It would have been a major problem if we did not do this for him. And for the consumer's drill, it was not known that he had a tool out. It was picked up inadvertently when cleaning up the job site and was returned to him when it was known.
