Miguel G***** was hired with a contract to fix the red-tag given to my home by city inspectors. He was friendly and knowledgeable at first. After we started asking more questions and he kept ignoring us - questions like "what's the anticipated timeline?" Very simple stuff..... Well.....next he became threatening. This was several months after we hired him in August 2021. One night I became worried that perhaps he had taken our money and run. We paid $4400 down. So I read some online reviews and called him the next morning and told him that this shouldn't happen to us. This is when he said that people who post online reviews are *plural expletive used for gay persons*. I calmed him down and convinced him to work, we received the mechanical permit on our minisplit and initial plans approved by the City.....after this point, he completely disappears and doesn't pay his subcontractor Corey for his work on the minisplit. The plans expired back in the summer and we warned him many times that we needed it done quickly....for the first half of this year he was promising to do it. But in the end, now he's been unresponsive and ignoring emails and calls for months. We have had to hire a new company now. He didn't pay the HVAC guy for the work and the plans for the addition are expired now. He provided no value because the red tag still exists under the same conditions. Literally nothing changed. We want our money back.Initial Complaint

Date entered in contract 8-6-21 we entered in a contract to build a stand alone two car garage in our back yard. There were many issues he did not meet deadlines. He yelled at me and would hang up on me. Finally the garage was completed on 8-6-21. On 2-28-22 we noticed a malformation on south western part of the roof “Hump on the Roof” I have rec’d estimates from $200.00 to $3,000.00 to repair. Miguel the contractor said that he would come and see the roof. Another time he said that he would sent his roofer. This has not happened!! All we asking is that he honor the three year warranty! My emails, text messages and a letter have all been ignored!!
Attention:. Miguel G*****
We entered in contract with you to build a stand alone two car garage in our backyard. We signed the Acceptance Proposal on 3-19-21.
On 8-6-21 the two car garage was completed. We met on that day and we paid you and the transaction was complete. You gave us a written three year warranty, the quote reads; "Garage has a 3 year warranty, August 6, 2024.
On Monday, February 28, 2022 I attempted to contact you, your cellphone and work telephone, the calls go straight to voicemail. I was unable to reach you! I then sent you a text message informing you that some of the shingles on the rear left part of the roof have lifted. I requested that you call me or simply send a roofer to repair the roof.
On.3-1-22 I. called you, and per our conversation I then informed you about the shingles.and that they had lifted. You asked if the shingles were intact? You also requested. that I send you pictures. I did soon 3-2-22. You were to review.the pictures and then send a roofer to make the repairs needed.
On 3-25-22 I called you, you mentioned that you were out of town but on your way in to Albuquerque. You indicated that you would come over tomorrow or maybe on Monday. If not then I should call you.
On Monday 3-28-22 You did not "show up" this weekend. Once again we put our lives on hold waiting for you! Once again Miguel I sent you a text message voicing our concern because there is rain & wind in the forecast. We are concerned about further damage to our roof! Miguel, I have been trying to get our roof repaired since 2-28-22. We are having Spring weather, strong winds, rain, and we have had a snowfall since then. We are asking that you honor the warranty. The warranty expires on August 6, 2024. I would like to impress upon you that we are trying to prevent further damage to our new roof. One of the shingles is now lose!
Miguel I obtained an estimate for repair of the roof for $200.00. We are reasonable people and have dealt with you in good faith! This letter serves as notice that we are giving you an additional five business days from the date of this letter to repair the roof. If we do not hear from you then we will go ahead and have our roof repaired. We had hoped to avoid legal action but at this point we have exhausted all avenues to resolve this issue.
Sincerely,
