I Went into a little store in Midtown Ruidoso called Candle Power and picked out a few things for my new place. She attempted to charge me not once but four times saying my card was declined, but it wasn’t. It just didn’t go through on their end. I was charged nearly 600 dollars and left empty handed . To make matters worse, the money still is not in my account and the store has washed its hands of it. If you’re in Ruidoso, I wouldn’t recommend shopping here.Three days later and I still do not have my money back, I don’t have anything to show for it and I can not get anyone from the store to respond to me.Business response

Customer used a bank card that would not allow payment to post in store. We tried several times to get the payment to go through, but all were declined. Later the customer informed me that she then had several pending transaction on her account that showed declined and would be reversed within 9 days. I explained that we did not receive the money so it was actually still in her account but the bank was putting a hold on her account. I sent letters with copies of the declined charges to her bank so they would reverse the charges sooner. She returned a few days later and made additional purchases. The same thing happened and again I sent a letter to the bank. I have talked with the customer and she has apolagized for multiple times for the situation. I feel like this complaint has been resolved and the customer and Candle Power are on good terms.
