I was assured that purchasing a top-level week would allow me easy exchange between resorts, specifically for a ski trip. However, this has not been my experience. Every time I have tried to schedule a week through the exchange system, I have been informed that the resort I am trying to book has no rooms available. The only available option is always redirected to Crown Point, despite my preference for other locations. I was told that this purchase would be a good investment and that selling my week would not be difficult. Unfortunately, it has been quite the contrary. I have listed my week for sale numerous times, but there have been no offers. When we bought it this week, it was intended for family snow ski trips. However, our family no longer engages in skiing and the area does not offer any other alternate entertainment value that suits our interests. In addition to this, I am now retired and on a fixed income. The maintenance fees have reached a level that is causing me financial strain. I will not wish to burden my children with this lifelong debt. Due to all these issues, we deserve to be released immediately from this contract. Please have someone reach out to us as soon as possible to let us know how we can proceed with terminating this ownership.Business response

Hello,
I have sent you a private email as well to this response as requested.
I understand that you no longer have interest in owning here at Crown Point. The purchase of the timeshare is just the same as any real property and it must be sold. It is like buying a house, you can not just give it back.I can not speak to what has transpired with the original sale or with the exchange company issues as I have no control over that and they are different companies. Using the BBB as a vehicle for your divesting of this property unfortunately can not change your options.
I can add you to a list of owners wishing to sell and if a buyer calls in, then I can put you in touch with them for private sale arrangement with them. I can also send you a form to fill out and you can enter your unit and week into the Rental Pool which would go out on the on line websites (******** ***********) for possible rental. If it rents for your week, you would receive payment for 65% of the rental income. Let me know if you would like this form or want to be added to the list.Sincerely,

I am rejecting this response because: the timeshare has offered no real solution. The only acceptable resolution is for the ownership to be closed and you be allowed to give the ownership to the timeshare.
Regards,
