I lost my son in June. I went to the pawn store in July. I told the man there about my son's passing. I went back in August of this year with $400 for a [his?] concho belt. I asked why he didn't tell me on July 22 i would have done something. But he gave all the other jewelry back that was past due except the concho belt. The concho belt was a sentimental item that was in the family for years.Business response

She pawned the concho belt ticket number - 10843 on 04/2/2024 and wanted to borrow 100 dollars of of it. The due date was 5/2/2024. That is the end of the loan period. We are required to hold onto it for an additional 90 days. She called us on 7/22/2024 to inquire about the belt. We told her she would lose item because it was past the due date and told her about our policies. We told her that if she wanted to extend the length of the pawn she would have to pay an additional ten dollars. She did not make a payment in to extend the length of the pawn or any other pay for 120 day from 4/2/24. She was late. We send her out a reminders of our policy and reminded her of them over the phone. The reason we returned other items and not the belt is that she had multiple items on loan with us that were not outside the expiration time of the loan. We returned these things. The concho belt was not.
