      I purchased my home in Nov 2020. One of the sale contingencies included repair of the radiant floor heat, including boiler installation. J & S plumbing was contracted for the repair and did replace the boiler which appears to work. However, the radiant heat was not fixed. The manifold that connects to the underfloor tubing sprung leaks all winter affecting heat delivery. The company attempted to fix the issues multiple times throughout the winter of 2020/21 and in February informed me that a new manifold would need to be built. I have photographs on my phone of the manifold being constructed (text dated March 14, 2021). I was unavailable due to family medical emergency and after the repair remained incomplete, attempted to contact the business owner (Matt) via text in July with no answer. Today, Sept. 9, J & S (Laura) said J & S could not fix the problem or refer me to someone who could help. J & S was paid $10,000 to repair radiant floor heat and the work is incomplete.

      In regards to your letter dated September 13, 2021, this is our response to the above ID# complaint. 
      On October 19, 2020 we received a call to set up an appointment to look at a non-working radiant heat system at ** ***** ****. At the time of the inspection we found no boiler present and a minor leak on the supply manifold. On October 27, 2020 after looking at the system we submitted a proposal to install a new boiler and fix the leak on the existing manifold. 
      Upon acceptance of this proposal, material was ordered and the boiler was installed in November of 2020 and the leak we observed upon inspection was repaired. Afterwards we were contacted 3 times that there were more leaks on the manifold and we went out 3 different times repairing these leaks without any additional cost to anyone. We suggested that a new manifold would be a better solution to resolve the problem. We then attempted to try and manufacture a manifold, sent pictures, but realized after checking the tubing from the previous repair against the new manifold that was made, that it was determined the wrong size tubing was used. 
      J & S Plumbing takes responsibility for this error and apologizes for the inconvenience endured by this situation and the lack of communication to resolve this issue. 
      J &, S Plumbing can fabricate a correct manifold with the correct pipe sizing to attempt to resolve this issue. Unfortunately, however, the plumber that previously manufactured the wrong manifold has left our company to pursue other employment leaving us short-handed. We are willing to spend the time to manufacture the new manifold but at this time it would be late November or early December before we could complete this task. Again, we apologize for this situation and would like to get it resolved. An additional charge will be necessary to build the new manifold. No additional charge was made in manufacturing the incorrect manifold. Please advise us if you would like us to proceed with this project.
