Paid a bill for propane online through my bank bill pay. Western states is claiming they never got the payment. They had been texting the wrong number about not getting payment so we never got a notice that the payment was not rec'd. My bank shows the payment was made and taken out of my account. I get a letter on Dec 9 stating that our service is going to be cut off on Dec 13. We immediately call Kristy at the company, explain the situation and pay the bill. We both discuss and decide I will call the bank. I did and filed for an investigation with the bank. I got notice on Dec 14 that the bank shows the payment had been processed and would be in contact with Western States Propane. Dec 10 we woke up to no propane and no heat because they didn't fill our tank due to failure to pay (not out fault). Dec 9 a billing statement was sent to us with a propane transfer amount charge from dec 10 as well as a late fee charge of $25 (weren't told about during the phone call since we were trying to determine if the payment was made as our bank said it was) AND a disruption of service change of $175. We didn't have a disruption of service because it wasn't supposed to be turned off until Dec 13 and we had paid before then. We were not told about this fee either. Paid the full bill except the $175 on Dec 25. Called to get the $175 waived (Never mind the $25 late fee) and they refused saying we didn't follow their rules. Kept telling us how it worked, wouldn't listen to us, interrupted us. Said they hadn't heard from the bank. Called bank 12/28 they said they have records showing they contacted WSP and were told WSP would get ahold of us to get authorization to talk to them. WSP never called us to get authorization. Lied to us about not being contacted. Still requiring the $175
