My dog was not well and on Friday I called to make an appointment. She is a patient of the practice for many years. The message states that if your dog is having an emergency then to bring them into the facility to be seen. Nobody answered so I followed the instructions to leave a message and someone would return the call. On Saturday morning I had not received a return call, so I followed the instructions on the message and took my dog into the facility Saturday morning. She had been getting worse and was in a lot of pain. When I got there I was told that they were too busy to see us and was offered the number of an emergency vet. When I asked why the phone message stated to "bring your pet in if they are having an emergency" the receptionist told me that she had never listened to the message and didn't know what it said. We were turned away. The receptionist was smug and uncaring and not at all helpful. Why have a message that states that emergencies will be seen when clearly that do not honour it? I got my dog treated at another vet practice, one that actually cares about it's patients an clients.
