08/28/2023 My car was overheating so I brought it to excellent auto care. The diagnosed my car And told me that I need a new assembly fand a new water pump. The total to have the car fixed would be eleven hundred and eighty dollars, and it would be finished that day. Never got a call from them that day. I called them the next day to find out if I can pick up my car. The mechanic told me his guys were out Text driving it and he would call me back shortly. When I got a call back about three hours he told me that my car was still overheating. And now I needed to replace the thermostat and. A blown head gasket which is now going to cost me another $ **** So now total to have my car fixed. It's going to cost $4450 for everything. They gave me a diagnosis of what was wrong with my car. Now they're saying it's still not running, right? It's overheating. And they want $1300. Somehow the prices went up now. For the work that they have already done and give me back my car. As it's still overheating and the problem is not fixed. Or they want me to pay $4450 so they can replace the entire motor they said would be cheaper to replace the motor then To replace a blown head gasket. If I would have known in the beginning a proper diagnosis of my vehicle. I would have never of went forward with putting money into it. I would have paid them for their diagnosis. And then sold the car for what it was worth. But since I didn't have a proper diagnosis done in the begand now. They want me to pay them for their mistake. And they do not want to give me back my vehicle. I asked for them to just take the parts out of the car that they put in. And just give me my car back the way I gave it to them.Business response

upon arrival customer was advised that he might have a blown head gasket based on the information we received, customer informed us that vehicle was over heated all the way to the "red" or "hot" point of the vehicle and coolant over ************* tank was boiling, we performed a block test, but vehicle was over heating due to bad water pump that was leaking, thermostat was stuck and fan assembly was not turning on therefore we were not able to run the vehicle long enough to get and accurate reading, we advice customer that we need to do the necessary repairs and retest for blow head gasket, customer agreed and repairs were made, after the repairs were made we were able to test drive the vehicle around the shop and notice the temperature gage was slowly climbing and we pulled it in to the shop and performed a second block test in which indicated and confirmed vehicle does have blown head gasket. We informed the customer of our findings and customer refused to pay bill of work that was performed. We gave him a quote for repairs but declined work. Vehicle still in our possession. Customer called 9-12-23 at 1pm stating that he abandoning vehicle and just wanted to pickup his plates. Customer never payed repair order.Customer response

We have resolved this issue and we have came to an agreement, I will be selling my car to excellent AutoShop for $1000 As is. I am happy with these terms. Thank you.
