Its just lunch matched me with men who do not match any my criteria. When I signed up I was told that if I don't like the matches that I do not have to go with them. I wanted to cancel within the time frame allotted and was told by their representative that they have in their net work gentlemen that are professional and have their private business. I was also promised to get follow-up on the dates. The one date I had I was told the gentlemen was a CFO and he was just an accountant. I am a muslim the gentlemen was a devote hindu with a shrine of shiva in his apartment. I feel taken advantage. They will tell you that they will have a follow-up after the date. According to the VP I was sent an email before the date telling me to submit feedback. Funny this is the only email I did not receive. I am going to pursue a class action lawsuit against them. I am finding men online on my own with higher caliber. So why would I pay to just get matches that are of lower caliber men. On the last phone call with VP she offered to match me with a doctor.. who does not want to have kids. My criteria states specifically I want to be with someone who wants children. The dating are full of men who don't meet my criteria that I can date. off the $3700 paid VP said would offer me $750 back. I feel that its just lunch does not find any suitable matches and have very limited pool of matches.. they play on your emotions to get you to sign up.

I don't know where to begin. I originally tried IJL in XXXX-XXXX, of course the pandemic hit and I did have dates left but that all went to the waste side. I tried again Nov. 2021 thinking or hoping their customer service would be better which it has not. I was told prior to paying a membership from a Claudia that there were 5 great guys to be matched with me. Great con.....as I see now because after joining 5 were introduced to me but the way it all happened it appears to be reckless matches where NO thought went into these matches, appearing bogus. Now a Connie called me and did the typical defense of IJL saying that another match maker would be calling, NOTE: no one has called. While matches can take time, it is the manner in which IJL handles issues. Nothing organic, nor authentic .... just cookie-cutter responses to shut up the client with empty promises or ignoring the client totally. This company appears to totally misrepresent itself and does not deliver services as described nor promised. I want a refund as they have not lived up to their obligations.

I signed a contract and then called the next day requesting to have the contract canceled based on terrible reviews and a video interview where I was pressured to date much older men. I made the request in writing as per the contract. I faced high pressured and intimidating sales techniques from the vice president to not cancel the contract while I was visiting family for Thanksgiving. They encouraged me to "just give it a chance". When I tried to call back, they refused to respond to my calls. Unfortunately, once you are locked in they won't let you out.

I want to inform others about my experience so that they do not get caught in the same trap. This review is not about poor quality dates, my review is about the conduct of the company and the employees. The salespeople and the matchmakers use a lot of "thought terminating cliches" used to halt objections. All of their staff are trained to used these.

This company is just very expensive Tinder:
1. They will send you a picture of a match with a very generic "profile". (ie...He loves animals......). 2. Your picture will be sent to someone else.
3. You click "yes or no". Your match clicks "yes or no". If you both click "yes" you get a date.
4. If you match rejects you, they will use the reviled phrase "he went in a different direction."
5. My first two "matches" rejected me based on my picture.


The company does not take time to learn anything about you.

1. They will only guarantee a match based on: age, religion, children/family status. You could be matched with a complete racist and they would technically be fulfilling their contractual obligations.
2. The hour long video interview was only 15 minutes. During this interview they tried to pressure me into dating men much older than me and into driving more than an hour each way to a different metro area.

Beware:
1. They will try to tell you that the reviews and complaints were about a franchise. This is about the corporate office.
2. Your initial matches may look too good to be true, because they are. It is just a sales technique.
3. They are good salesman but prolific liars.
4. They will compliment you and tell you how great you are. How adorable you are, ect. Don't listen. These are lies.
5. They will throw the contract in your face every time to try to complain.

We did not agree to any resolution. I have no idea what you are talking about. The only document that I signed was the contract which I put in writing a cancellation request per the terms of the contact within three days. I also have a signed notice from a medical doctor indicating disability. Per terms of the contract this exempts me from the agreement. There has been no resolution and I have yet to receive any response regarding the letter of disability.
