On June 21, 2022, I was scammed by My Educational Advisors. The organization claims to submit student loan applications on their behalf to lower student loan costs. However, that was not the case. I agreed to submit all the necessary documents to ***************************** (My Educational Advisor Rep) because she told me her organization works closely with my Aid Vantage provider to lower student debts. While speaking to ******, she asked for specific documents such as my 2021 Tax documents, Paystubs, my ************ information, My Student Forgiveness Loan Application, Debit Card Info, and my ************** Application. After speaking with ******, I sent all my documents to ********************************** I was informed that it could take up to 3 months for a response. After waiting for 3 months, I contacted ****** for a follow-up, but *********************** answered the telephone stating, ***************************** no longer works for the organization. Once ***** informed me of the change, he asked for the same exact documents ****** had previously asked for in June 2022. Although I was hesitant, I re-sent all my documents again to ******************************************** After I sent my documents to *****, I never heard from him again, except for receiving emails confirming that they had deducted payment in the amount of $199.17 from my checking account. I'm not sure what that fee was for, maybe because they assisted with submitting my application to Aid Vantage?? However, the amount of $199.17 was deducted from my account for months.... please see attachments, and later $39.00 most recently. When I missed a payment, I received an email instructing me to contact the organization via telephone or by email. In the past I tried contacting ***** 4 months ago, but the contact number that he provided to me was disconnected **************. I tried sending several emails to *********************************** but I never received a response. I tried googling for a website, but there is NO website that exist under My Educational Advisors. I tried researching the address provided, ****************************************************************, but their office doesn't exist. The only communication I have is my bank account information showing they automatically deducted funds from my checking account. I spoke with Aid Vantage on two occasions, most recently 03/14/2023 & 5/23/2023 and they said, they have never heard of My Educational Advisors, and they haven't received anything from the organization on my behalf. At this point, I am now terrified because they have information such as my 2022 Tax Forms, Paystubs, ************, and my Checking Account Information. I am afraid if I stop making payment, My Education Advisors could possibly report me to the ************* affecting my credit, even though they don't appear to be legitimate!! What should I do????Please investigate this organization and shut them down completely. I would like to file charges as well. I want everyone to know, this organization is a scam, and they will steal your money and claim they will help with lowering student loan cost. I want a full refund for all the money I paid them in the past year and I want to be assured this organization doesn't have the power to affect my credit score!!
