While we were camping at ****** air force base we called for a appointment to look at our RV generator. I told the repair man and the dispatcher that we could not meet him at the gate 4 times. The company advertised that they can come onto the base. The repair man wanted me to walk 2 miles in 90 degree weather and I could not as I am elderly and my husband is a disabled veteran. Happy Hals couldn't get thought the security at the gate. They then are trying to bill us for gas, service fee and one hour labor. I called and they took off some of the bill, but I feel that they advertised that they could come onto the base and didn't fulfill that advertising. They were told we could not meet them at gate so we should owe them no money. Thank you for your consideration. P.S. ****** (Vegas) repair came out the next week looked at our generator couldn't fix it, but charged us nothing at all.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/04/12) */ 1- We do NOT advertise that we can come on the base. 2- We Communicated at the time of scheduling that we would need an escort to get on the base. 3- the Day of Service, We Made the Trip out to the Base expecting to receive an escort in so we could fix their Generator. And We Can Fix their Generator! This is when the Breakdown happened, as a task needed to be accomplished by the customer suddenly could not be which left us waiting at the Gate. PS. NO Company should charge for a service if it cannot be performed. We too would not charge a penny if we cannot fix the Generator. This is something We DO Advertise! 4- We did not Want them to walk 2 miles as the distance from park to the gate is less than 1 mile on foot. I might also input that ON APRIL 6th 2022 the Temperature was a wopping 75 degrees as the recorded high in Las Vegas. So I respectfully decline to acknowledge their claims as the entirety of their claims have been inflated and exaggerated to make us look bad. Our problem is that the Customer is acting on what they desire or what they want to hear, rather than what they were actually told. Societally this is all to common! AS a result this has caused us to Waste time and FUEL in an ever inflating environment and economy.
