Pro Price Heating was assigned to me by Choice Home Warranty to fix my A/C. They came out on July 18th. I explained the issues to the technician, and he did a quick check, saying the motor was bad and needed to be replaced. I paid the service fee and was told I would hear back when the part came in. On July 22nd, I got a response from Choice Home Warranty denying my claim, stating, "Based on the information provided to us by the Service Provider assigned to your claim, it has been determined that the HVAC system has developed dirt and/or debris buildup. This condition has restricted the necessary airflow, causing the condenser fan motor to overheat and fail. This is not a failure that occurs under normal wear and tear conditions." This diagnosis is impossible because the technician didn't do a thorough inspection. My A/C was running during his visit, so it couldn't have been accurately diagnosed as a dirt or debris issue. Plus, I had the same problem with my other unit before, and that claim was covered. Because of the poor service from Pro Price Heating, I had to replace my units out-of-pocket during a record heatwave in Nevada. I won't be using Pro Price Heating again and will be sharing my experience on various review sites to warn others.
