made flight reservation for my son on a faresplanet website. for $710 round trip *** to *** , purchase date: 10 September 2022 ~four hours after making reservation, received an unsolicited phone call stating that ticket we wanted was no longer available - although website still listed flight @$710 cost. We questioned why and they stated they could still get the same flights but it would cost an extra $275. (upon later searching on scams for faresplanet it is obvious they perform this bait and swap technique and often a more assertive caller can bargain price down). Intimidated by the scam operator, agreed to price and they charge an independent fee. 1 month later we no longer needed flight for my son and tried to arrange a cancellation of flight for full amount. They stated the flight cost (sent to delta would be refunded=$710 minus a $95 cancellation fee), but the other $275 charge was not refundable. ****************** was the customer service person I was talking with during this conversation. First said it was other charges for flight, but when I said I was recording call for BBB compliant they stated it was their finders fee. I pressed them to speak with his supervisor, he passed me along to ***************************. She said she didn't have authorization to refund beyond the ticket cost but that I should speak with person who originally sold flight. That person was *******************. He of course was not working at the time but they said they would have him call me in ***** hrs when he returned to work. I waited two days and called wed Nov 9th @ 10AM to speak with *******************. The person on the line said he was on another call and could call me back - no return cal. I waited and called again on friday Nov 11 @ 3pm again told he would call back, but never received call. I called delta airlines directly, they quoted $50 cancellation fee so $710 flight resulted in $650 credit. Delta rep suggested I file BBB complaint & never use faresplanet. ********** Delta Tck# *************Initial Complaint

This guy is a *****! I booked a flight through this company after finding a great price on cheapflights.com. I then received a phone call and an email saying that my booking was on hold and I needed to call to confirm. When I called, I was informed by ******************* that I needed to re-book at a much higher price. I said no and that I wanted a refund. My credit card was never charged BUT then my credit card was fraudulently used so I am now having to deal with that mess. The only person that I heard from during this transaction was ******************* (if that's his real name). This website needs to be shut down and this guy sent to jail.Initial Complaint

faresplanet.com lied about booking an airline ticket reservation, both online and with a live operator on the telehone. faresplanet did not book any airline ticket or reservation with any airline as per their statements in the attached documents. Their documents and website state that the ticket will be delivered 4 to 24 hours after booking, and ~2 weeks later no ticket was provided and there has been no contact from this company. I request a final email from faresplanet stating that stating 0$ balance is owed since the agreement was not honored by faresplanet.
