I paid Vegas Transmission Repair to replace my motor mounts. When I picked up the vehicle, the issue was not corrected. We called the next day and was told that he had no room to look at it and to call in a couple of days. We continued to call and were repeatedly told the same thing. After a few weeks of this, we took it to get a 2nd opinion. We were told by Meineke on Rainbow and Cactus that our motor mounts are bad and were not recently replaced. They took pictures of the bad mounts and also had my car on the lift and showed me. For good measure, I took my car to a third place to get their opinion. They also showed me the bad motor mount and how my engine is moving when putting it into gear and stated that my motor mounts need to be replaced as they had not recently been replaced. When I originally picked up the car, he did not show me the old parts. I contacted Vegas Transmission Repair requesting a refund so that I can get the work done elsewhere and it was refused. The owner stated that he had proof of completing the repair but when I asked him for proof, he refused to give it to me.

      Business response

      03/18/2022

Business Response /* (1000, 6, 2022/02/10) */ The customer stated that the problem with his car was not fixed - He should have brought it back the moment he felt that the problem wasn't fixed to be warranted. Our phone record shows he called a week after he picked it up but did not leave message. I don't record all of our customer's phone number and do not call back missed calls unless they leave a message. I'm just a small shop with one helper. I don't have an office person either. He dropped by for me to look at his complaint but I did not see anything wrong at that time. I told him to leave his car for me to look at because I did not have available lift at the moment. I told him I will put it in the line up and as soon as I will have an available lift I will be able to look under (stated in texts). I cannot fix a customer's car if they don't want to leave their vehicle. I didn't avoid his calls and did not refuse to fix his car. Therefore, I will not be able to give them refund but I am willing to replace the mounts if that is really the problem. Thank you so much for your help and patience to this matter. Please let me know if you need anything else or I need to do anything else. Please see attached document Brian D******** 702-624-9035 Consumer Response /* (3000, 18, 2022/02/14) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) As you will see in my phone records I did not "wait a week" to call him. We called him the very next day & 10 other times before taking the car for a second opinion. I do not accept his offer to repair the car because I do not trust someone who was dishonest about completing the original repair & also dishonest about when he heard from us. We did not leave the car there because his words were to keep calling (which we did) to check if he had room on his lift. A refund is the only acceptable response so that I can get the work done at a location that I trust. Business Response /* (4000, 21, 2022/02/15) */ We have a NO REFUND policy which is stated on the repair order. We will take care of the car and replace the mounts if they need to be replaced. We will try to get it done in a timely and orderly fashion (depending on parts availability) but the car needs to be dropped off during business hours. I wasn't dishonest at all in fixing the car. It's not my fault that the parts failed, that's why I would replace them. Consumer Response /* (4200, 23, 2022/02/17) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I refuse his proposal for a couple of reasons. First, he is not acknowledging his dishonesty about when We called to state that the car was still not repaired. Second, I do not trust him. He lies (as seen in his first response) & I asked for proof that he did the work & he refused to show any proof so I do not believe that he did it. Third, the car has already been repaired by someone I trust because I couldn't keep driving a car that was unsafe. I have two young kids & needed this taken care of asap & he only kept telling us to keep calling to see if he had room. When we did call we were continually told he couldn't take us. We gave him plenty of opportunities to look at the car again and fix it. Finally, the "no refund" policy is handwritten on the order. However it is not initialed by either myself or my husband as the order states above to initial to acknowledge. Business Response /* (4000, 25, 2022/02/18) */ the customers complaint was,,, they need proof of mount purchase, we provided everything and offered to return parts amount back now all of a sudden there is only excuses and not addressing that complaint and trying to back peddle, and we are trying to be the nice guys, and comply to the requests, i told the owner there is no warranty on these mounts due to no mounts in the country available, at that time and was on national backorder, i ordered them online as he new we did, so i told him these mounts may be ok and maybe not because they are not oem if there is a problem he will need to bring it back and leave the car which he failed to do on many occasions which we have the proof of and there is nothing stated on receipt of warranty listed which mounts are hard to warrant. but was willing to honor at this point but customer refused to leave car in line up, we supplied everything needed and customer comes up with new reasons and excuses we did not see the car or confirmed it by our shop, that mounts are bad or failed and in fact willing to replace what is needed, we do not take accusations from other repair facilities or shops, how do i know that it was diagnosed properly i didnt see it or confirmed it so, at this point our conversation ends here these are opertunists trying to get free work, we complied to every step and proved the mounts was changed we do not do refunds it states on the repair order and they agreed and signed it, therefore we will not honor anything since they said they had someone do it, if there was a warranty which there isnt one stated, they forfitted the warranty if there was one, i did my part and i respectively decline their complaint as i know returning money would say im guilty, and i am not and we proved the mounts was changed plus i called all the ********* which i have a personal account with them and they claimed they never talked to these people or said any such thing against my shop, so without me seeing the problem at hand and that in fact the mounts was actually broken, whether they broke from quality defect or a person that is hard on their cars i dont follow people around to see what driving habbits they have we told them to bring it back and leave it we will handle it they refused because of their bad life planning is not my emergency which in fact i had one customer just like them, that would not leave their car because it was their only one they had a small leak, i told them leave it and get it in the line up, they did! even though they didnt have an extra car but they did, third day we took care of it, these folks are no different then any other customer we have, failure to bring vehicle back to be checked and leave is on the customers failure not mine, so our conversation ends here. we are just going around and around, its people like this that make it bad for people that need their cars done properly if they had someone they trust why did they bring it to me in the first place they should have done it through that other shop, i told them when the mounts was not available and was on national backorder at that time, that they can take it elswhere, they said my price was better then the other shops, i was more reasonable as you can see stated on the repair order if i was so dishonest i would have charged them for everything including that oil change! i do hundreds of dollars worth of transmissions, do you actually think i would rip off someone with a measly job like that to put ahead of higher paying jobs cmon!!!!!! its not the money its the fact of these dishonest people (opertunists) that im not bending to give the money back on work we accomplished and performed and actually two occasions checked out and found no issues but we was booked up so i checked the vehicle and drove it and found no mount issues at that time but due to their failure of honoring to leave it with me, which i infact was willing to handle it but they do not want to leave it, and refused to leave they wanted me to do it right now then and there and im sorry everything has to be done in a working order, and as far as phone calls i miss a lot of phone calls in one days time everyday even new customers, that are still waiting to get their cars done for the first time here in my shop, most all of my new customers leave a message on my voice mail i do have one and i have text message and my personal cell is on the reciept so the phone call complaint is illegetimate, i can show many calls missed everday im a one man operation with one helper im not ******* muffler with five employees and ten lifts everthing i do we take care of it and any customers that have any kind of issue and if i must put their car on the lift and im booked must leave the car in the line up until the next car comes off thats my policy and my policy also is stated on the repair order ALL SALES/ TRANSACTIONS ARE FINAL & NON REFUNDABLE, that is plain english and our policy, we offered to be the nice guys and refund the parts cost only they decline so do we this case is closed have a nice day there is nothing more to say thanks so much god bless you all, brian vegas transmission repair llc, p.s due to people like these we no longer do small repairs any longer !!!!!!!
