            I was a resident in Harbor Island Apartments for about 1 year in 2020-2021. I had moved out in or around June 2020 and lost the electronic key. I called several months later just to follow up and make sure things were ok for future residency. I was advised that I owed 4000+ dollars for a missing key and the fact that they would continue charging rent until the key was turned in. I now have this on my credit report, that the amount due is because of Rent, late fees, admin fees, processing fees. This information was advised to me through ************************* in which the balance is now due. They advised me of interest and a monthly update will be reported to the credit bureau. Everyone who knows about a weekly apartment knows that if rent is not paid they will lock your doors or disable the key. How is it possible I owe for 4k plus dollars? I would like to know when the apartment was rented out after me. It does not make sense how much money is owed. I would like balance removed.

            I need help to negotiate to pay less for my past due bill on my credit. Me and my ex boyfriend both had our name on the apartment and had to leave in the middle of the month due to the pandemic. We had infestation of bed bugs and roaches. They took a while to get it clean we even took matters into our own hands. I don't think it's fair I should have to pay the whole fee when it was a whole other person on the apartment with me.
