I asked them to fix a problem after explaning it to them, I sis not tell them anything specific to fix.they did a diagonistic and informed me that the work on the invoice would fix problem. it di not. the work they did was totally unnecessary.THE PROBLEM OF OVERHEATING AFTER DRIVING 20 TO 30 MINUTE STILL EXISTS

      Business response

We explained to **************** in order to properly Diagnose an overheating issue we would have to start with the obvious coolant leak from the coolant by pass assembly. Pictures were sent out to **************** and we explained to her about leak, if there is a leak in the coolant system the thermostat wont operate normaly because system has to get pressureized. She approved the repairs and after the repairs we had vehicle running for over an hour. No Overheating. We mention to her that if happens to overheat again she would have to drop off vehicle so we can try to duplicate it. When she came back to us she refused to let us check the vehicle to try to duplicate the issue she mentioned she rather do a charge back on her card without even gining us the opportunity verify the complain.

I am rejecting this response because: they were explicitedly told the car over heated after 25 minutes of DRIVING.  it was not overheating  at idle.  they did not preform the correct testing the first time.  WHY WOULD I LET THEM HAVE THE *** AGAIN SO THEY COULD CHARGE ME FOR MORE UNNECESSARY WORK.  I gave them the car and offered for them to keep it and drive it.  THEY DID NOT.  THEY FIXED THE EASY THING, WHICH ID NOT CAUSE THE PROBLEM.

This indicates one of 2 things. A they are in business to scam people on unnecessary work. or B they have no idea what they are doing. and need to hire competant help.

      Sincerely,

      *****************************

Brought my car in to have the rear brakes serviced, after picking my car up on 3-29-23. I noticed a service light but figured my left front tires may be low as it was low when I dropped my vehicle off. As I continued to drive I received an alert that my wheel tire pressure sensor was missing. Nothing was wrong with my sensors or tires so I assumed maybe they forgot to put it back in my tire or maybe damaged it. So I called down spoke to **** the manager. They were completely rude and said they never touched my tires and furthermore I couldnt prove they broke it and that no one was going to fix it. I spent $3010 fixing my rear brakes with them. This is not the service or professionalism I would expect after spending so much so be aware if you choose to allow them to work on your vehicle.

I went to Meineke Repair shop #**** on November 22, 2022 because my check engine light and cruise control were flashing which meant I had a real problem, my front struts needed to be replaced and my back brakes. I paid ******** in full and my car ran better until yesterday December 9 I got in my car and again the check engine light was on and cruise conrol again. I drove back and the man at the desk said I told you to get a new gas cap, I said you never said that, my gas cap is fine and I was with a friend when I picked the car up after repairs on November 22 who can attest to this. They took the car back I heard a few noises watched them test drive my car and i was happy the lights were off and the mechanic said it was a loose part from the strut repair but the guy in the front said before that the brakes needed to be calibrated?? I left and bam, my car began screeching so very loud I had to turn around and take it back to the shop. I was told my fan belt went and the Idler ****** had broken?? I said I used the ac earlier before I came back to this shop and it as fine, so what its a coincidence? The Mechanic said yes??? I was given an estimate of ****** to repair it and he cut the fan belt off the car and said it is safe to drive! Not according to other mechanics, it is not fixed as I am a 62 year old disabled woman , I have a rare muscle disease, arthritis, take blood thinners due to a problem with clotting ini my blood. I DO NOT HAVE $$ to fix something that I believe they broke. I will never go to any of your locations again . I feel they should have repaired it for free because its quite a coincidence that that part is so close to the struts they replaced. I am very distraught and woke up in tears as if my car does not run I must walk to store and bus stops to get to Doctors, to get food ect... These are trying times we live in and I wish I would have received proper help and proper repairs.

Customer came back with a belt squeek because her A/C pulley ceized up. This belt only runs A/C she mentioned she could not fix it that day because of her finances. We gave her the option to remove A/C bet so she would not have any squeek since pulley zeised it started to smell like burnt plastic. We educated her and showed her how the pulley had seized. She agreed for us to remove A/C belt we did not charge any fee for this. The other important components like power steering and alternator run on different belt. If we knew that it wasn't safe for her we would no have given her the option as long as she would not use A/C she would not have any issues but she agreed to have belt removed. The issue about light was that her gasoline cap was loose also we checked it for her at no cost and the cuise control light after we replaced struts we alligned vehicle because it was detecting steering wheel difference on degrees again no charge.

I am rejecting this response because:. The first time I took it back the mechanic said something had come loose from the work they had done n he just had to tighten it for me, however the man at the front desk said they had to re calibrate the brakes? The second time was the squealing of the *** true, I thought they broke it when I brought it back the prior hour when they tightened what ever it was the mechanic mentioned to me.

I am a Catholic woman who does not make up stories and THEY NEVER  said anything about my gas cap, It closes tight and the man in the front when I brought the car back said I told you it was your gas cap, I said no you did not.  I was there with my friend *** so I was not alone and at no time ever did they say anything about my gas cap, nor is there anything in my paperwork that states that, and that's the truth I don't make up stories.  They NEVER even checked the true cause of why the check engine light was on. The Mechanic said he reset it and if it came back on to just go get an oil change? The man at the front desk seemed to just wish to dismiss me, he acted callus like I was a bother?? And this after I paid ******** ! They checked things free of charge because they should have after I paid that much money. Your company man at the front desk could use some **************** Training and should not say things that are Not True.

      Sincerely,

      *****************************
