      I had taken my **** ***** prelude for ************** on 02-07.2022. At Asian auto imports in ********* Had been told engine needed to be replaced used engine arrived damaged. Had put $1.500 deposite on 02-22.2022.I was told engine arrives damaged and they returned it. We agreed on my original engine to be rebuild for a total of $ ******** the " ****. 57 balance to be Paid when car was complete. Its been more then 2 years I had problems on and off and at this point I want my refund I asked plenty of times and all I get is the owner is out of town and and even the general manager has been called and nothing is being done I had been so patient and wanted to compromise on a fair price but now for all this time they been wasting of mine and all the trouble Im going threw I want all my refund. They even made me pay cash so i cant dispute it with my bank since I did that in the beginning .

      This has been going on and is still going on I refused to take my car back because I told them I wanted a refund and they still keep saying they will get back to me thats why I submitted this

      We have worked very hard over several months to resolve this issue with the client.  ****************** originally came in with the **** ***** Prelude because the engine was not running on all cylinders.  One of the four cylinders had no compression and was misfiring badly, making the vehicle undrivable.  We advised that the engine would need replacement due to no compression in that cylinder.  The ***** is a rare model, a ***** Prelude-**.  It has a special engine with a particular engine block designed to make space for the ** differential assembly.  There was only one used engine showing left in the entire country.  We presented ****************** with that option and he approved. When the used engine arrived, it was NOT the special **-type engine required, as was indicated by the seller.  We advised ****************** that this used engine was the last engine showing available in the country, and we would not be able to source the correct one used, but we could have his engine rebuilt by by a local machine shop.  We had no other options.  He agreed and we proceeded with updated repair.  The process took a couple of months because the parts required by the machine shop were not easy accessible. Upon return of his engine from the machine shop we completed the repairs using all the new components indicated and returned the vehicle, once again running on all four cylinders. The client retuned shortly after stating that the high RPM **** portion of the valve train would not engage.  We spent many hours diagnosing the problem and even removed the engine a second time, at no cost to determine what the fault was. We determined that the problem was inside the engine block and the only solution is a replacement engine.  Unfortunately, the parts we need are no longer available.  ****************** decided to stop all credit card payments during our attempt to resolve the issue.  At this point, we had been paid zero dollars for all of our efforts, time and expense.  We explained to ****************** that we have given him every possible option available for this rare vehicle and there would be nothing else we can do, as parts are not available anymore.  We came to an agreement that we would accept a half payment from the original bill, and he agreed to pay us in cash because he had already proven a credit card payment unreliable. Our resolution agreement was that there was nothing else we could do without the parts needed and that is why he received several thousands of dollars discount. At the time, he understood the situation, and agreed it was a fair compromise because we already had thousands of dollars invested in parts and even more invested in our time.  Additionally, the vehicle runs and drives normally without the additional boost from the **** system and it was perfectly usable even with the **** inoperative. He later returned several times, first to address an oil leak, which we rectified for free, and then to complain again about the inoperative **** system. We had several conversations about the fact that we had an agreement and already refunded him thousands of dollars to compensate for the problem.  Obviously, neither party is happy with the outcome, but we did everything we possible could to make the client happy.

      I am rejecting this response because: what i was being told of different things . first it was a **** not a **** . after taking my car to get engine replaced they told me it arrived damaged not that it was the wrong engine, so already im getting a different information then what i was told at that time. i went without a my car for months and had already paid in full thats why i reached out to my bank i was satisfied with the work and how they was handling it. they said i accepted to pay cash but that was a lie they made me pay cash because they knew they couldnt fix my car. i had to borrow $6000 from my mother in law to even get my car back. the discount price of $**** mwas for them taking long to "rebuild" my engine niot for ALL the multiple issues that came with that which was NUMEROUS times thats why i never took it back at the end of this year everytimei took it it was always something different so i asked for a refund which i was told the owner and i would sit down to talk about it which to this day has not happened. i went days renting a car i went days that i had to miss work or be late due to all of this and they cant even accept they cant fix my car i had leaks i had broken valve spring i had a oil cooler come off i had misfires still i had to oil all inside my spark plugs just so many things wrong and they took MONTHS one thing after another.i tried to be patient and see if we could just agree on a refund but they just ignore me saying owner is out of state or on vacation. i think this is there way of saying they dont care about my situation and im not getting anything back. because all that i been threw im asking for all my money back. this is the worst job service i had ever had and for them to say they gave me THOUSANDS" is not very true the **** discount was for them taking long to rebuild nothing else.i just want my **** back for this horrible expirence im always told they will get back to me to see if we can agree with a refund i am still waiting to this day i had lost all my savings and my job sadley to all this nonsence the owner can not solve.i have proof of the time i had called i have pictures of all the things that was wrong with the car and dates. but im sure they also have the information.i feel robbed.please help me find a solution that will work for both of us

      After a telephone conversation today between the owner of Asian Imports and ***********************, we have agreed to refund ****************** an additional $2500.  This offer combined with the previous refund given equals a total of $4500 discounted off of the original bill.  This resolution was accepted by both parties as the most fair option for all involved.  You may close this complaint and indicate it has been resolved.
