On June 11th, 2024, I contacted Yellowfin Logistics and spoke to a gentleman by the name of ****** on having my daughter's car be transported from *******, ********** where she just graduated to ****************************************************************. ******, quoted me $1, 295 for delivery at that time. I said I will call him back the next day to make the final arrangements after I have spoken with my daughter. When I called him to finalize the arrangement, he told me the price was now $1,495 but we could put goods in the vehicle at no charge up to a 100lbs. Time was against us and my daughter was leaving campus on June 18th, 2024, So I agreed and gave a deposit of $195, with the balance to be paid at deliver. But I told him the pick up dates had to be on Saturday, June 15th or Monday June 17th, as my daughter's graduation was on the 16th. I asked him to confirm that we could put items in the vehicle up the maximum weight of 100lbs. Because he had already reneged on the first quotation, I texted him on Wednesday, June 12 at 3:56 pm to confirm these things. He responded "everything confirmed". He sent me the contract which states: "up to 100lbs is free of charge". On Monday, June 17th, the driver (from ************** LLC, ) came to pick up the vehicle and said I had to pay $100 or he will not pick up the car. We called ****** and he was not at work and we spoke to the customer service lady who answered the call. She was very rude and told us that we had to talk to the driver on the issue. I was baffled because I did not make an arrangement with the driver and never saw or spoke to him until the day he showed up to pick up the vehicle. The driver gave me an agreement form oh his phone that I had to sign in agreement. I then tried calling and reaching out to ****** on what had transpired and he never accepted my call or returned my call. I believe this is a scam that both parties are aware of how things will go and know the customer will have no choice but to say yes to the charge.
