I enrolled at Aveda Institute and started cosmetology course on 10/26/21, on the same day everyone in the classroom received an ***** Only about 95% of students received an **** 9th generation 64gb (worth 459.99 plus tax) and the rest including me received an 8th generation 32gb (worth 329.99 plus tax) keep in mind that is a $130 difference. I brought it up to the executive director Gail R****, and all she said she would replace it on 11/04/21 and she never did. I asked again on 11/09/21 and she just kept telling me "she hasn't finished counting who needs it replaced" till this day it was never replaced and we still got charged the SAME amount as the others who got a newer better version ****** On 10/30/21 we received our incomplete kits for school and STILL got charged as if we received complete kits. They said we would receive everything once they have it in stock (which is fine) but now that I had to withdraw from school I got a bill with everything I owe including the cost of a complete kit that I never got (only partial) and an older version **** that does not have the same value as what the rest of the school/class got. AGAIN I spoke to the executive director Gale R**** about it and all I got was "give me what I need and I'll give you what you need". So basically I owe the school money for items I NEVER received. She also gave me 2 months to pay $3,432.90 which includes items I never received, an older ***** school days I attended, and other fees. Being unemployed 2 months is not enough time to pay back the school that amount of money. I have a debt for uncompleted things that were given to me and still don't have.Business response

She was suppose to return the following day with the **** to switch it out. When she brings in the **** she received she will receive the updated version.Initial Complaint

I am attending Aveda Institute of Las Vegas. FAFSA is paying 12,000.00 and I am paying 2400.00. I believe I am due and owed my 2400.00 back due to a lack of things that were offered to me before I started. I was not given the proper tools to work with. I have been left to self teach due to teachers quitting or leaving class period at lunch with no warning. Not enough/proper learning information to pass school boards. The students and I are to be there for 10 hours with nothing to do but watch movies that do not pertain to the class or to sleep at the desk. I was told to perform procedures and use tools in which I knew nothing about. I believe I should receive my money back without any penalties so that I may attend another school. I would also like my FAFSA back to use at a different school where I can pass boards and begin my career. I do not want to go to boards and fail repeatedly because they did not properly teach me. With my money I am entitled to be taught and pass properly.Business response
